The Coyotes Show Up, and That's About All They Do

The Coyotes just got beat worse than a QAnon believer in an intellectual debate with a five year old.

I haven't seen someone fold that fast under pressure since Jack Bauer began an interrogation of a suspect by shooting him in the kneecap.

The opening period saw the Coyotes put up a 23% puck possession rating, and that is really all you need to know about the game.

Darcy Kuemper can't save them all. I mean, hell, even Nolan Ryan got hit occasionally.

Far be it for me to tell the coach how to do a job he's obviously nailing, but I can't really think of a situation where it would be warranted for Jason Demers to lead the team in 5v5 ice time.

But really, however Tocchet set his lines, they were getting demolished last night.

It honestly wasn't the best game to watch if you're a Coyotes fan, and like the shirtless jogger who goes by my house twice a day, I didn't need to see it, but I couldn't look away.

This one was over before it even began.

There ain't much to talk about here, so here are some thoughts on some other stuff.

I recently read the book All the Pretty Horses, and it gets my highest reccomendation. I also recently finished reading the Dexter series and it gets my lowest.

I am not kidding, those books suck. Why did I read all eight? How can one guys kids get kidnapped five times in eight books? How can a 200 page book have 89 pages of filler talking about the Miami traffic? They suck.

I made my wife watch Total Recall last week, and god bless her for agreeing to do it, but she hated it. I personally consider it one of the best movies ever made, and I enjoyed watching it yet again, this time ON BLU RAY!!!!

Another great movie I watched again this week was the Deerhunter. Obviously this is one of the greatest films ever made, regardless of what PC nonsense you want to force onto a 40 year old movie.

Still, one thing does bug me: Why did they cast a bunch of 40 year olds to join the army? Wouldn't it have been more effective if they cast kids?

And seriously, has Robert DeNiro ever played a character who was an age that made sense?

DeNiro makes me think of Pacino, which makes me think of Serpico, which I recently just watched, but which I bring up because just days later I happened to see the Serpico episode of Always Sunny in Philadelphia, which I am re-watching in these quarantine dayz.

Now, clearly Sunny tops Seinfeld and the Office as the best sitcom ever made, but do you remember/ have you seen the one where Charlie dresses up like Serpico? Cause if not, I highly recommend you do.

The episode also features a Junk Yard Cat named Jack Bauer, which brings us full circle.

I rate yesterday's game zero Almeidas. Just one of the absolute worst games I've ever sat through.

Unless of course Nazem Kadri is my favorite NHL player and I've been secretly cheering for the Avs this whole time?

BETRAYAL!

Not "constantly removing your trademark vids after seven years all of a sudden-type of betrayal," but close.
