What a brutal Sunday it was. We can't catch a break, especially after the Jets scored with 4 seconds left to tie the game in Seattle, then win it in OT less than a minute later! I will keep plugging away as we will eventually get this thing back on track. Games going under the total were 4-2, while teams split home/away and favs were 4-2 with SJ and WPG hitting as dogs.
Overall, home teams are 135-114 to start the season with games going under the total on the season at 130-115-4.
NYI/OTT - 5:30pm EST - The Sens snapped their 7 game losing streak on Saturday against PHI. OTT has played better at home but is without their top two defensemen. NYI are 8-2 in their last 10 games but are average on the road. NYI have beat OTT in 9 of their last 10 games head to head. Nice price for NYI here.
LA/CGY - The Kings have won three in a row and are starting a 4 game west coast roadie. LA has played solid hockey on the road and have gone over the total in 10 of 15 games so far. CGY just snapped a seven game losing streak and head back out on the road to the east coast after this game. Steap price for CGY -164 considering how terrible they've been playing. LA +136 is worth a shot here.
CAR/CHI - The Hawks are off a 3 game roadie and have gone under the total in five straight games. The Canes are off a game against COL and have a return home game against COL on deck after this one. CHI has played very well at home, while CAR is solid road team. CAR 4th game in 6 nights and not worth laying the juice -240 in this spot. CHI +198 small is worth a shot here.
STL/COL - The Blues have won two straight, including a big win over VGk after losing 8 straight games. The Avs are without three defensemen and two of their top forwards, including their captain. STL always plays COL tough, including last year in the playoffs. COL heads out on the road after this game three straight and 8 of their next 10 games. Great price on STL +164.
