Elliotte Friedman reported on Monday that Seattle Kraken defenseman Adam Larsson is poised to sign a four-year contract extension with Seattle. The deal will reportedly carry a $5.25 million cap hit. Larsson, who will turn 32 on November 11, will make $4.5 million in real dollar salary and $4 million in terms of cap hit in 2024-24.

The reported extension will preempt Larsson's potential unrestricted free agency in 2025.

Larsson has only missed one game in his three seasons with the Kraken. Last season, he posted four goals and 18 points in 81 games: a drop of 15 points from his 2022-23 point production.
