Will We See Holdouts Going Into Training Camp? |

Going into the final weekend before training camps open, a sizable chunk of restricted free agents are unsigned and looking for new contracts. Nine times out of 10, these situations get resolved just before teams take to the ice, but currently, there appear to be impasses that could go into camp.
Detroit has some double trouble with defenseman Moritz Seider and winger Lucas Raymond. The chatter has been that the Wings are close to getting Seider’s deal done, but that Raymond and GM Steve Yzerman are far apart on a new deal.
The standoff between Jeremy Swayman and the Bruins has been well documented, and GM Don Sweeney did not do himself any favors by surrendering any leverage by trading Linus Ullmark.
Thomas Harley, Cole Perfetti, and Dawson Mercer remain unsigned, but all the buzz involving these players has not reached the point of acrimony, which means they will likely find a resolution sometime next week.
If I had to guess which situation will last further into training camp, it would be a tie between Raymond and Swayman, simply because Yzerman and the Bruins always hold the line in contract negotiations.
