The old saying goes that Gary Bettman and company like multi-millionaires to invest in teams, but the NHL Fast Pass goes to....the Billionaires. The NHL LOVES Billionaires and off course...It was just yesterday that Bell rather suddenly sold their 37.5 shares Rogers for 4.7 BILLION Dollars.

And today word is spreading that the owners are openly embracing the thought of adding two teams...sooner than later...Many names are out there....Houston, Kansas City, Auston, Atlanta and OF COURSE Quebec, who was promised a team when that arena was built.

So could Bell be thinking about Quebec? OR as two sources speculated today..Markham Ontario...

FYI, Markham is just under 20 miles north of Toronto, but to me those who have driven it, as I have, you get from MSG to Uniondale quicker... The traffic is worsening and worsening, and the Leafs are selling less and less tickets in the area due ti the fact that you'd have to leave work crazy early to get to a leafs game...

I talked to a source connected with the expansion talks and they said that Bell didn't sell their shares to get out of the sports biz..they sold TO GO ALL IN. And to be separated from their main adversary Rogers....

Whats the Buzz?
1. Would the NHL put a team in Markham?
2. Would the Lefs be OK with it, and would it actually matter?
3. Do you think Markham or Quebec could actually support a team with the Habs and Leafs so much a part of the culture?
