Flyers Preseason Gameday: 10/3/24 vs. Devils |

In the final game of the 2024 preseason schedule, the Philadelphia Flyers (3-3-0) will host the New Jersey Devils at Wells Fargo Center on Thursday. Game time is 7:00 p.m. EDT. The game will be televised locally on NBCSP and nationally on NHL Network.
With the Devils' NHL roster in Prague awaiting their Global series regular season opener on Friday against the Buffalo Sabres, New Jersey has sent its AHL-affiliate roster, the Utica Comets, to Philadelphia for the preseason finale. The Flyers will dress a lineup that is very heavy with Lehigh Valley Phantoms (AHL) players. The primary exceptions are forward Noah Cates, veteran defenseman Erik Johnson and goalie Ivan Fedotov (along with prospect Alexei Kolosov).
More significant in the bigger picture is the non-game group practice that was held in the morning at the FTC in Voorhees. Keeping in mind that NHL roster player Cates and roster bubble players Olle Lycksell and Anthony Richard skated with the game group on the Phantoms rink, it's notable that Jett Luchanko centered the "third" line with the non-game group.
Matvei Michkov - Sean Couturier - Travis Konecny
Owen Tippett - Morgan Frost - Tyson Foerster
Joel Farabee - Jett Luchanko - Bobby Brink
Scott Laughton - Ryan Poehling - Garnet Hathaway
On defense, Nick Seeler (banged up in Tuesday's game in Boston) took a maintenance day. The other NHL roster D, minus Erik Johnson (playing Thursday) were accounted for in the practice group: Travis Sanheim, Cam York, Jamie Drysdale, Egor Zamula, and Rasmus Ristolainen.
