CBJ Trade Rumors — Ivan Provorov Heat Up? |

Are the Columbus Blue Jackets poised to be a potential early season seller?
According to the most recent TSN Insider Training and the reporting of the Fourth Period; with additional follow up by Eklund, there is a sense the Jackets may be getting calls about defenseman Ivan Provorov.
As reported yesterday, the big club that is calling is Utah as they are recalling players from Tuscon to help their early season injury bug. Defenders Sean Durzi and John Marino are both expected out long term, and the Utah Hockey Club is looking to make noise.
Edmonton, Seattle, and Pittsburgh are also early contenders in the Provorov race. Tampa is a place I continue to see pop up, and it makes sense based on the Russian connection and getting Waddell on board with a half salary retention. Maybe Connor Sheary, who is on waivers, and a sweetener plus may push things over for the brass?
Things are interesting early. With that said, Columbus is having a stronger start than folks anticipated, so there may not be the appetite to get this done right away. The closer to the deadline, the better the return may become for the Jackets.
