If they can flip him for a 2nd or even a 3rd next year, it's not that bad. Just think Hextall could have twisted Yzerman's arm a bit more since everyone knows that he wanted to dump Filppula to free up an expansion draft slot and cap space.

i just looked at him and he reminds me of wes only not quite as good looking.

i also looked at his stats and his contract and he definitely isn't as sexy as wes.

I think Hexy views it as a way to add a little scoring depth for the remainder of this year and next year while also getting a pick.

I just don't really understand the direction of this team. It seems like Hexy is content to just be mediocre for the foreseeable future.

That's what is kind of frustrating. I mean this season is basically over so Streit wouldn't be around much longer anyway, so why not get a pick or two and scoring depth (hopefully).

Maybe he'll try him on Giroux's wing to spark Giroux? Or third line center probably.
