well, technically, i use microsoft security essentials, which is the Win7 version of defender.

i hate win8 and am so glad i never upgraded.

Open Windows Defender by clicking the Start button . In the search box, type Defender, and then, in the list of results, click Windows Defender.

Click Tools, and then click Options.

Click Administrator, select or clear the Use this program check box, and then click Save. If you're prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

Pretty sure windows will prompt you to deactivate Norton...which, btw, is one of the worst AV software you can have...complete poope.

I'm not erally sure if it's norton or McAfee it's the pre-installed trial on it I usually wait for them to tell me I haev to renew before unistalling and installing avg.

Norton, McAfee and Kaspersky are all bad. Not really their fault, they are just the most attacked AV on earf. Those programs are put on most factory built PCs and are really the most used.

it's not killing me but i don't like it that much. i generally just click on desktop and bypass all the swipey stuff i can't swipe.

Yeah I can see that. I've navigated it before without swiping and it still wasn't a big deal for me. To each their own.
