I put those mp3s or other formats on my phone and use that instead of an iPod

we recently purchased an ipod for dt jr. so he could listen to music.

i also still use an ipod.

i don't want to use up my phone battery when i'm listening to music. maybe it doesn't use that much juice. i don't know.

mp3s aren't exactly a spectacular format as far as sound quality go, and aren't superior to the streaming sites' stuff by any stretch of the imagination.

but if, on your iPod, you use cd rips in lossless formats such as .wav, .flac and the such, or even better : hi-res files from digitally remastered albums, then yes the streaming site stuff is worse for sure

I don't need tons of albums in my rotation. I have favourites and I seem to be content cycling through those. I do pick up new stuff when recomendations from friends blow me away. Maybe one new record a month or so
