Sat next to the hockey hipster on a date tonight at the Teddy Bear Toss game. Dude was right behind me and said stuff like "Junior hockey is so much more visceral. The atmosphere at these games is so real and genuine. Unlike the corporate nature of NHL games. I'm not even an NHL fan, because real people can't afford to go. I'm proudly a WHL fan first, and have been since the team came to town."

His date didn't seem to care about any of his conversation topics except when he said "Wanna go grab a drink?"

The one thing that does make junior hockey better live is the absence of 2 minute TV timeouts in the middle of a period.

Nothing kills a crowd faster that when that little red light goes off and you have to sit there for 2 minutes watching a stupid quiz or kissing game or dancing like an idiot fan/g of the game thing pumped at 3000 decibels in the middle of a period. Twice a period.

This is true. They have the one shovel stoppage halfway through and then they play the "dance crazy" thing and focus in on all the little kids going bananas because small children are unstable and then they get worse when they can broadcast their insanity

One is a great story, especially the ending, but the way it plays isn't great. On a lower difficulty, I'd pick soldier and bring squadmates with biotic abilities. Then you just shoot and spam their abilities to screw up enemies

Two is top titties. Only bad class is the adept. Soldier is kinda meh since its point and shoot. Most of the characters you meet are wicked and its fun.

Three plays wicked. Abilities are dope, shoots fun. I felt the story was pretty good for about 75% of the game. Act three tapers off. I wasn't as bothered by the ending as a lot of people were.

I've actually been thinking about going back and playing them again

man when i played games i smoked so much pot during that there is no way i'd be able to give a description like this minutes after finishing one game much less years after finishing three games.

i remember that i loved the original splinter cell but i have literally one memory of the game and that was a dog biting me.

loved it.

i was house sitting for some friends on vacation and i remember i couldn't be away from the game that long so i brought the console and turned their living room into splinter cell central. i moved all their furniture around for optimal viewing and lighting.

i walked around for weeks answering anything my friends said with "i am sam fisher"

they could have asked me what time i was going to be home from work and my answer was "i am sam fisher"

the first game can be beat in like 15-20 hours if you bust through it. probably even less

second game is longer. closer to 25-35 depending how much side questing you do. third one you're looking at 35-40 with a mix of doing all the little BS and main story

i can give you some more tips and stuff about the games if you want
