I don't know if your still on the whiskey kick like I am, and I was thinking I needed to try a new brand. For the life of me I couldn't figure out why I haven't had woodford reserve yet, so I bought a bottle after work today.

I've been drinking rogue's whiskey a lot lately (which I recommend you try).

I can't wait to try it, I'll probs have a glass in an hour of two.

They don't last that long and they have, in my mind anyways, an aftertaste. I also like a couple chunks of ice to mellow the whiskey out. You may find different though. Try them out.

i will try the gin as well. although i literally have 9 bottles of varying sizes of bombay sapphire right now so it's gonna be a while for that one.

If the whiskey is harsh I prefer ice to mellow it out. When I have an awesome whiskey I put an ice cube in and let it sit for a little, then remove it. I still notice that it waters it down. I'm not looking for super cold so I think the stones will be perfect.

I really hope it doesn't alter the taste of the whiskey, that would dissapoint me greatly.

I pretty much stick to the one type of scotch and one type of bourbon. I haven't tried them in the bourbon. I will now and let you know.
