unsigned top prospect

you make it sound like an unsigned player is a scrub throw in when he's the most important part of the deal.
i can't even sign him midseason but he'll cost a whopping ~$800K to sign.

Yeah you can sign him if you really wanted to. Go to contracts screen then hit x to minor league and if there's any unsigned players you can sign there.
