macs are good. I think there is a stigma against apple products because of their price, but they're actually very solid devices. when you buy a macbook, you're getting 10 hours of a battery life. not many other brands can offer you that at the same price as a mac.

they're not though. that's the point I just made. the build quality in apple products are much higher than a $700 hp laptop with the "same specs". The battery life is usually around 10 hours where that same hp laptop will be 2-3 hours. The display is much superior.

also you're not paying more for the logo or the OS. OSX 10.9 is free.
