Add the Phoenix series last year to the Toews non-productive act.
He must be injured pretty badly: no jump, no pop, no aggressiveness. - StLBravesFan
At this point, you have to hope he is injured, because of he's not . . . . wow. |

No..it's the FO job to get the correct personnel......for the coach......he hired.....who brought his scheme with him. |

Nothing worse than having the CUP raised on your own ice.

Third Period,
Kane, Seabrook, Keith, grade A shots between circles...missed net. Bickel post.
That's hockey. 1 loss. For those of you who can't fight the urge to start the post season moves mid game in 2nd game loss...I just nod my head.
I am obviously not the fan many of you are. My goodness.
The irony, the only place Q won't make an adjustment, is on the PP. Hilarious. I give him slack with Hossa late scratch, but they look like a chinese fire drill out there. Boston is not as good as all the Bruin blowers want to assert.
Anze Toews either needs to move down in line up or sit. Put your able body guys out there and give it a whirl. Tell you one thing, if he is not really hurt, we have bigger problems. - TrueGrit
You've got a lot of nerve not conceding the series after 3 games.

You sir are what I believe to be and ignorant hockey fan. If you actually watched the devils play you would know that they were a team that won loads and loads of 1-0 or 2-1 games. The bruins, check the stats on NHL.COM, are scoring almost as many goals a game as the pens this playoffs. And where this idea that the bruins have not skill and goal scores is REALLY GETTING F ING STUPID. It's a team commitment with the bruins playing all three zones. Maybe if Crosby and Mallon traded that then we could talk.
I guess that you guys with the stamkos's crosby's and Perry's can talk all the crap you want about having the BEST PLAYERS in the world, BUT I will stick with the BEST TEAM in the world.
And for the love of god when Isthe NHL going to give Bergy, arguable one of the top players in the world because of his COMPLETE GAME, props for what he does.
And as much as people say he is given his due, look at the players everyone picks for team Canada, he is not in any of the line ups. THAT IS A JOKE TO ANY REAL TRUE hockey fan.
I'm sorry about the rant Chicago fans, but for three years we have been the underdogs thru the playoffs, when do the b's get some respect?
FYI, you are may favorite west coast team. - JIwasinskiJr
You realize the Devils led the league in goal scoring with one of those cup winning teams right? They were still boring. |

Also in 2011 against Vancouver. It all goes back to the pp. I think a huge chunk of his 29 points in the Cup year were pp points against Vancouver and san Jose. Same with Kane. Pp sucks so bad |

I'm the biggest CC apologist on this board apparently. - CBHawks88
Sorry CB...I can't keep track of who says what from day to day.
Personally, I'm not fully an apologist...just haven't seen anything out of CC to have me calling him out.
1 goal in 2 games ain't gonna get it done.
We all knew the PP was bad, but I hoped 5 on 5 would carry the day. With poor results 5 on 5, the PP fail looms large.
Cue the sad trombone... |

Good point but coaches run their scheme and try to find parts or pieces to fill those roles. Bill Walsh didn't scrap the west coast offense when he didn't have the type of players to make it work. He would run it regardless. Coaches have their philosophy, Detroit didn't change their defensive scheme because of personnel changes this year........ - UnnamedSource
West Coast offenses only work with a quality QB, Detroit trains their defensemen to run their defense they way they have it.
Your two examples are of things that have been successful. When has the Hawks PP been successful? When has Kompon's PP been successful??
Great coaches adapt their schemes to the players they have. The Hawks' PP should not be this dreadful with the players they have. |

What is the short bus, exactly? Don't think I ever saw a good definition. - StLBravesFan
The short bus was used at my school for kids who had trouble getting to school on time....the tardy bus. My neighbor across the street used to be picked up by it frequently......so in essence..late to the party on q.....tardy in their knowledge of what a good coach is and what he has done since he has been here......and refusal to give any credit...the winning "in spite of"....... |

Yep, coaches buy into a philosophy, no matter how flawed.
Use lovie as your example, or torts,...where did it get them? |

Once the season starts, you have no choice but to go with what you've got. If you don't have the right personnel to do what you want...adapt, do what's best for the team. Don't tank the PP for a whole season and a cup run to prove a point. No pissing contests during the season. |

Hossa goes down in warmups and the idiot Q puts Smith in who has not played in one game and leaves the only physical player he has , Carcillo, in the booth
If they lose in 5 games he and his staff should be history in Chicago |

Turn off ALL ELECTRONIC MEDIA...that is my advice. The loss was painful enough the first time. No need to relive again and again on hilite shows or anywhere else.
This loss was on Q. The line blender produced a LOAD OF BARF. And he won't adjust his game plan. Trying 5 passes every rush to enter the zone WON'T WORK.
Dump and chase WILL..but we're not built for it. |

Luckily I was only 2 for the 71 series. That must have been really bad. But I saw every game at a Las Vegas sportsbook in 92. An amazing run winning 11 straight only to piss away game 1 and get swept by Pittsburgh. Damn that sucked |
