I love how you place the link for this board right in Dee's board. that's like going to Burger King and having McDonald's employees point you towards the nerest McDonald's. Its gold! - Jethro09

I guess most teams aren't as stupid as I thought? They saw his other deficiences and like you eluded to maybe he's asking for too much? Factor in him getting those points with Jt and I'm guessing most teams are reluctant... - Cptmjl

Shocked he hasn't found his way back here to, if nothing else, go off on everyone. I suppose those web seminars are keeping him too busy.

I agree, shocked myself. Between NYI and Kencan i was expecting one or both to show up again. At the very least to tell all of us to go fack ourselves in twenty different ways. I guess even they have a limit on self inflicted abuse? It became hard to watch after a while. That is why i had to participate |

I don't think he blogs for the Isles. He just seems to post when they will have autograph signings or something |

Honestly, I think a lot of people didn't. They knew the shape of the Isles themselves, but it was evident by how people just couldn't comprehend how slow this rebuild would take given no real UFA options existed. It's evident when someone coplains that Snow doesn't trade...while we can complain about that right NOW or beyond, but expecting it 1-2 seasons ago tended to show a lack of understanding for just how bad things were. Sure we may have had a few guys that were tradeable, but we didn't have enough behind them in the pipeline to make then expendable.
Certainly Snow isn't close to being perfect, but I do think even some of the biggest critics are starting to realize that things are coming together and sticking to 'the plan' ultimately was better than skipping steps. Of course that only comes with a more profound understanding of just how things were left by MM as opposed to the perception a few years ago.

From the Edmonton Blogger:
18. New York Islanders - I'm still waiting for the Islanders to sacrifice one of their incredible young centers to bring in a top line winger to play with Tavares. They could have Ales Hemsky cheap if they wanted him, but I'm not sure he's the guy they're looking for.

I had a thought that they were both Dee. Still wonder about that one. They both had very similar styles so to speak. Neither seemed to be especially knowledgeable about hockey. I will say that NYI did seem to know a hell of a lot about the financial doings of Wang and just about everything else you didn't want to know about him also and he'd tell you over and over again incessantly. What a facking pain in the a$$ the both of them were. |

Oh, Kencan was the real deal. He was a Penguins fan who at one time was an Isles fan. My guess was he jumped ship around the time that Crosby came to Pittsburgh. He was a little smartarse though. Whenever I read his posts I heard the Bubble Boy from Sienfield voice.....

Who didn't realize? - Cptmjl
So very bad....what I DO think some people didn't realize is how long it really needed to take to fix the problem....when he left, we had NO prospects. NONE. ZERO. We couldn't field a full minor league team.....and what we had on the big club was mostly malcontented, overpaid cr*p. As I've often said- it was like an expansion team that already had sh*tty players it had to get rid of, before acquiring more sh*tty players with which to start over from scratch.
It took a long time to pull that boat from the bottom of the ocean, and then turn it around. This is why, other than the fact that I'd love to see him make a trade once in a while to try and move this forward a little bit faster, I can't kill Snow. For a guy with no experience, he's essentially taken on a job that was near impossible, and he has done OK, in my book. |
