I doubt it's a shock? You'd have to be pretty numb to not realize that every person on this thread has been displeased with the content in her blogs. Fifty to sixty posts every day are dedicated to that very subject. When someone says theres nothing to write about or discuss as far as hockey this time of year then they are not what I consider a.knowledgeable fan. There is tons to write about. If you have to ask for suggestions maybe you should be doing something else with your spare time? How is that we all find topics to discuss every freaking day about hockey on here and her "blogs" have zero substance? Finally she has an opportunity to write about something worth while and actually has a press pass to do so at prospect camp and decides not to interview prospects bcs she doesn't feel like it? Most of us would be chomping at the bit to get that opportunity. Gimme a break. Your blogs.are filled with.misinformation and at times I seriously wonder if you're screwing with us as far as the content?
Bashing the Rangers and Nash when the guy was injured with a concusion comes to mind as one of your ridiculously childish blogs. As Islander fans we all despise the Rangers but really? I also loved you calling out fans and calling them not real ones*(very ironic under the circumstances)and blaming THEM for the Islanders lack of success. Completely nuts. Do you think before you post/write a blog? Poking fun at an injured player on a hockey forum you "write" for? Especially one with a concussion? Come on. That's just what comes to mind right now there are countless other blogs you have written that were either classless, had oodles of incorrect content to the point that it sounded like someone who never had even watched a hockey game wrote it. I'm not even trying to be insulting but someone has to tell you bcs you seem to be oblivious to the fact that this entire board has been unhappy with your blogs since the day you started and nothing has changed. If anything they've gotten worse almost like you sticking your nose up to your readers which after reading a few of your blogs I'm not overly shocked by. I really don't think it's a matter of opinion at this point when hundreds of people feel the same way?

The fact of the matter is that he was the best of what was running, that is not saying much, but its true. You could say he was the least bad of the bad.
XxNYIxX - XxNYIxX
Disagree...but that's for another forum. While I didn't like Palin the accusations that she lacked sufficient experience to be a VP were laughable when considering the guy who won the Presidency had even LESS experience. Never ran anything, was a community organizer (and a failed one at that). The rhetoric through the entire process was a joke. We were supposed to care that Romney was filthy rich yet no one gave a damn that John Kerry had over 7 times Romeny's wealth. That's my point, I'm not going to discuss which political philosophy is right or wrong, but rather the misrepresentation of candidates via our media is very concerning.

all in fun, but I will stop talking Politics.
How about that damn Catholic church?!?!?!
XxNYIxX - XxNYIxX
Another unjustified punching bag of the media. There is plenty wrong with the Catholic church IMO (greed over salvation) but they're attacked with exaggeration like no other entity. There has been an all out assault on religion through our media for the last 25 years.
I'm what you call a part time atheist. From 8am to noon, I'm athiest...noon to 8pm Catholic. What I don't understand with most athiests is the utter joy they take in trying to dishearten believers. Whether there's a God or not, the ultimate good of religioin in society is that it creates a sense of accountability, community and hope. A majority of organized Athiests seem motivated to undo all of those things as a means to satisfy their own disbelief. Even if I don't believe, I have no desire to take away someone's daily motivation or optimism just to satisfy my own ego.

All for it...there are plenty of political forums online. My comments are more directed to the dangers of the media, which applies to sports, politics, business etc, than actual political theories/opinion.
I watched another Islanders messageboard get completely blown up by political arguments.

Agreed...but I have to say this discussion was more civil and enlightening than anything you'll find in actual political forums

The question is, to create havoc in Dee's forum, or not post at all. I, like our better blogger, would prefer to keep the posts to a minimum, but the opportunity to needle Dee when she's actually responding is tempting. Of course I'd theorize that she's actually responding now because a majority of us have left her board. She feels it's safe to show up again. That will likely change once we start ragging on her

Nino WILL be at camp.
If Bruce Ratner's bid is accepted.... we arent moving to Brooklyn(for long)
I never said DP would be playing in the NHL this season... I said he would be signed to a team.
XxNYIxX - XxNYIxX
Depends on what you consider "long". The Islanders are in Bklyn for 25 years. At least. I consider that to be long-term. Ratner isn't building an NHL sized arena in Uniondale if he wins the bid. His arena proposal is smaller than that. Plus, why would they want to move the Isles out of the five boroughs and away from corporate sponsorship and mass transit back to a place with no corporate sponsorship and no mass transit in Nassau? |

And start looking at the bright side of that move! From an operations standpoint, there is nothing but good coming from this

Dee thought it was safe to step outside of her bomb shelter and comment. She was then confronted about the lack of substance to her articles...suddenly all of the comments disappeared.

If you look at the Cpt's post near the top on his page, he posted that as a response to her, at which point a few of us agreed....I suppose the piling on was too much for her to take. I do believe there was a reference about this blog . Unfortunately there's nothing to quote since it's all been ....eliminated.
