Id rather see Nelson on the team, but Snow gave Regin a 1way contract for a reason.
To be honest id rather see Nelson as the second line center and move Franzy to the third line.

Isn't that the plan eventually? |

Grabner, AMAC and a #1 pick to St. Louis for Pieterangelo and Halak (or Elliott)... - kear20
Definitely not enough. Proven #1 pair D man, then you have to sign him to a contract and he would be the highest paid player on the team.
Would LOVE to have him but just a pipe dream with the way this team has been created. |

Who knows... the plan could be to have Strome as the second line center & Nelson as the third.

I'd think that was the plan unless strome becomes a winger which is a popular idea on here for some reason? |

If he becomes the first line wing, then nelson goes to the second line & Franzy slides down to third.
Nino was gonna be the first line wing & strome the second line center,...with nino gone.. strome could very well become the first line wing.. we are very deep at center.

We will see how it plays out. You also have to remember the "Capuano factor". Not the best at personnel decisions. For all we know he has regin penciled in on the first line and is anxiously awaiting snow to get reasoner locked up to a long term contract? |

that package wouldn't get pieterangelo let alone him and a goalie |

Best players play? I do not agree. Boyes, grabner,.Nino pandalfo, reasoner, Rolston? He gave theseplayer either too much ice time, not enough, or completely mishandled them and in most instances it's not a matter of opinion IMO. I'll disagree with you there |

I think Strome is our future 2nd line center as well and Franz is moved at some point in the next year. I do like Franz, I just don't see where he fits with our eventual log jam at center. |

grabner..third liner plays on third line...rolston was out of shape and lazy...nino didn't bust ass or play hungry but more importantly didn't belong in the nhl (that's on snow) ..if you don't like playing on the fourth line treat practice like its game seven... i'll agree with you on reasoner and pandalfo ..but for the most part, like I said their have been some hits and misses but for the most part I don't think its a trend. some of it has been on cappy but some of it has been on the players as well |

Correct in some of your observations but if Ralston was out if shale and lazy what is he doing out there with a minute left down by a goal or on the PP? As far as Nino just like u can't blame the coach u can't always blame the player. Grabner is one of if not most versatile and effective players and scores calling him a third liner bcs Capuano has his own head up his own ass
sis kind of silly. Our most effective penalty killer was almost a healthy scratch in a playoff game against the penguins bcs of why? Pulling the goalie with three.minutes left numerous tines and nothaving it work once. Listen, I know you like Capuano but I think he's one of the worst coaches this team has ever had and that says a lot bcs we've had some pretty terrible coaches. That's my opinion and quite frankly I have zero idea why you like himm but you're entitled to your opinion. Mone is not going to change. I've seen enough to get a pretty good idea what kind of coach he is. Ic
an go on and on with tons more examples but my computers down and its not going to change your opinion so what's the point? Hard to do this on the phone

OK....so, you're the St. Louis GM.....never mind the goalie.....do you make this trade straight up for Pietrangelo? If you do, you're fired.
You're not even thinking about Pietrangelo without Reinhart included in the package- likely Reinhart AND Nelson (if you're lucky, it will only be Nelson) AND at least a couple of high end draft picks. Pietrangelo is like Weber, except without having already been signed to a long term albatross contract. He is considered a top end, top of the league defenseman, who is only going to get better, by pretty much everyone who speaks about him.
I'd love to have him here, but that's going to cost you seriously.....you're not going to be able to trade middling players, spare parts, and people you don't need for him, simply by throwing in a first round pick (which, if we got Pietrangelo, would likely be d*mned near the bottom of the round). It's just not going to happen. There's a reason why forwards and goalies get traded all the time, but top end defensemen do not- because they cost a fortune in return....supply and demand..... |

Yeah, I think we're finally at the point where they no longer have to sign cr*p just to make the floor, so these things won't happen anymore, thankfully....I hate to see Reasoner take ice time from.....well, anybody, let's face it... |

What kind of coach needs his assistants to yell at the team when they play like sh*t? He's not an X's and O's guy, and he's not a motivator.....so what does he do? |

m not a fan obviously. I've met him at an event in rvc a while back and he seems like a great guy just don't think he's a good coach. I've seen enough bone headed moves to formulate an opinion. Not enough smart moves to make me think otherwise in fact I can't think of any. I said it last season and I'll say it again I think this team decided to start winning on its own last season. Some.may disagree and that's fine, I get why they may not agree but my opinion won't change. If they win in spite of more head scratching coaching decisions than great. |

That's exactly how I see him. He'd be great to have a beer with but I don't feel he's a capable NHL coach. |
