I wonder how long until they just ban us all for a day or two so they don't have to read our female dogging and catch a break! That seems to be where this is heading as this has becoming the hang out for HockeyBuzz's most wanted!!! |

Meanwhile, reports say there have been NO discussions between Moulson and the Isles...Past history suggests if this isn't done before the season starts, it won't happen at all.
Thoughts?

I think they gagged him and tied him up and threw him in the basement. I have not seen or heard from him. Maybe Dees mafia got after him. I find it ridiculous to lock a thread when I have seen and heard a lot worse on other blogs. Maybe because she is a woman they are protecting her but this goes beyond nonsense. When I blogged for prosports sometimes I would get negative feedback but I used it to channel a better blog the next time. Lets face it is not all the time that people are going to agree with what people write, but it is also up to the blogger to get their facts straight and report what they hear to the ones who are interested |

That policy is only if they don't show up in camp. He'll be here...now whether he gets extended or not is a whole other story.

I think it gets done, maybe during the season or even training camp. He is too big of a part of this team to let get away. |

If he hits UFA he's gone. Someone is going to give him a nice large contract. 5-6mil per over 4-5 years? |

I agree with you. I think we can upgrade at that position. I want to see though if he has a come back season. If he is on the decline then Matty might have to go . Plus with young guys ready someone needs to go |

I know a lot of fans that are eager to trade him but even with him being older, I still consider him part of this core that has grown together. |

I think he is very important to the team from a personality standpoint. That said, I don't think I'd consider signing him to a long term deal unless you're okay with him being your top line forward for the next 3-4 years. The problem with MM is, while good in the crease, he brings NOTHING else. In fact, I'd say he's a total liability defensively, which in turn puts too much pressure on Tavares and the RW. In other words, if MM isn't scoring and doing so often, he has no value at all. I'm very concerned with just how much he disappeared down the stretch last year and in the Pitt series.
For my money, I'd prefer an upgrade for our top line at both LW and RW. For the moment, he's a necessary too....I'm not so sure about 3 years from now.

Correct. Our writer posts an interview with a new Islander signing.
A poster feels it necessary to take a cheap jab at the writer.

Everything dee writes is gold guys. No criticism allowed! How can this site expect us to take it seriously? All we want as Islanders fans is a writer who talks about whats going on on the ice rather then the next event the booster club has set up. And maybe one who knows what position Kyle Wellwood plays. |

He's signed for the year, LOVES playing for the Isles, Mid season if he's on pace for another 30 goal season... he'll get a 2-3 year deal.

and I think he's classy enough that he'd take a shorter term to stay. That said, he may want to see if he can hook up back out in LA with Jonothan Quick

I don't know I have a bad feeling about Moulson this year. Hopefully he can regain his form though |

If we can get that upgrade (but who?). I think MM would be a fantastic second line winger.
I think the isles are taking a wait and see approach with him. See how this year goes. So far Garth has been able to resign all of his core players at bargain contracts. |

SO I guess GArth is hoping he has a bad season so we can sign him to a huge contract |

Who would take his spot? Unless the Islanders get a LW that can step in this season I'm opposed. They could even get a right wing and move PMB to the LW since he is a lefty anyway. We could probably get a haul for this guy. |

The Islanders are the only team I know that will take back players after they are gone. |
