Chevy will not trade Kaner. Chevy is too cautious. Besides he is the youngest 30 goal scorer in the league, 22 years old, skates 100mph, starting to mature off the ice, and finally has some success recently with new line mates Frolik and Scheifele. He is also locked up at a reasonable rate for the next 5yrs. So all Canucklehead left coast hippie mosshead fans keep on dreaming he will come home to Van and everything will be nice nice. I have a hard time feeling sorry for Winnipeg. The team was rounding the corner as the Atlanta Thrashers. Had a great GM and coaching staff. They were all dumped like a cheap date when the team was moved to Winnipeg. Basically AHL staffers were brought in. And you wonder why they have gone backwards. Really?

I think Scheifele is a star. True 1st line centre. I'm not the biggest believer in Reimer, just see him as a solid mid-tier starter. Gardiner is a 3/4 guy longterm and see Kane as a perennial +30G guy for the next decade.
