There was some weird time bullpoop where they went through a blackhole and went from the future to the past and came to earth when people were still monkeys. Even came across the classic Optimus Prime and all them autobots because they were in like a stasis after crash landing and they didn't wake up for like 50000000 years.

Unicron was in it. Great plot around that. Starscream's spark showed up for an episode and commandeered a Wasp robot. Ravage, one of Soundwave's cassettes, showed up.

You had Optimus Primal taking on Megatron. Silverback gorilla fighting a T Rex. Rhinos fighting giant scorpions. Velociraptor fighting cheetahs. Giant spiders taking on rats. Tigers fighting pterodactyls.

Transmetals and Transmetals 2 and the Fuzors were badass

the redesign in that like exaggerated look they gave stuff did not translate to the toys very well. most were very ugly and tough to replicate. made for some real jank ass toys
