Unfortunately for rollins, this is a trap and a gang of heel goons come out to beat him down, but reigns and fellow face come out and foil this devious plot. As the chairman is attempting to get up rollins hits him with a vicious curbstomp into the wwe logo of the universal championship. The crowd goes wild and the faces celebrate; mcmahon is being placed on a strecther and loaded into an ambulance.

The next night on smackdown, which is now the gold brand we are welcomed by a new broadcast who announce that vince mcmahon is in a coma. The show is odd, as some faces and heels have changed sides, new alliances and feuds with factions broken up with no explanation.

The next week on raw a heel rollins comes out with aop(who have the raw tag titles without winning them) under the name SHIELD_3000. Rollins reveals that what they did to Vince was a hit job paid by shane and steph.

Everything is different, things people thought would never be seen are happening such as pushes and matches. Out of this, sami zayn builds a cult following as he rises up the card getting more high profile matches. On smackdown, we see it take a more hardcore, attitude era approach which was a demand of fox getting the rights.

It is now wrestlemania 36 headlined by rollins vs zayn for the universal title which is won by sami zayn ending rollins year long path destruction. The final segment on the following nights raw is triple h presenting zayn with the championship. rollins comes out to demand a rematch and a locker room clearing brawl ensues. As the brawl is going on the lights go out and all we see on the screen is a bearded mcmahon waking up from his coma and says "zayn as my champion? never! what a nightmare!" The lights comeback on and rollins is pinning elias to retain his universal title.

The wwe universe is in shock. Everyone is silent, not a peep in the amalie arena. What did we just witness? We witnessed the whole past year never happening as smackdown airs the next night as the blue brand with everything being like it was leaving wrestlemania 35.

I will give my take on the Universal Championship. I would have Rollins defeat Lesnar and the following months tease a Rollins/Reigns feud, but have them as allies. They finally have their match at Survivor Series where Reigns turns heel, with the help of Heyman and wins the Universal Championship.

Reigns tears through the division and retires Cena at Mania in the title match. Following Mania, Reigns feuds and defeats all the internet darlings and the point is Reigns showing that he is the true chosen fans proving the fans have always backed the wrong guys.

Rollins eventually earns a title shot at Mania 37, declaring it the end of his redemption tour. He wins and he and reigns are the forever rivals.

Surrounding these two would be McIntyre, Strowman, Corbin and Lashley. As they would serve as interim, credible feuds for Rollins and Reigns.
