How many goals does your Lord and saviour have in the last 12? Matthews had one great game and has been an average player the rest of the season while guys like Laine and werenski have been dominating
Ryan dzingel is producing athe the same level as matthews, and is more consistent - sensarmy_11
That is very cruel and highly insensitive.
The mere fact that Laine is trending towards a 60 goal season is more than enough slag for any one team to have to bare. |

I don't care what laine does.
the fact that Karlsson is trending towards a 30 point season is hilarious.
and you dolls think he deserved a Norris. look what happens when he is forced to play defense. |

Karlsson is playing magnificent hockey. He is still setting guys up and making incredible passes. They have hit some very good goaltending but have kept on winning. Goals will come. Overall, you have to give high marks to a team that has implemented an entirely new defensive system and yet is still getting their fair share of points.
Lot of credit has to be given to Phaneuf. He has done a great job in giving the Sens a very strong second pairing. Looks pretty good from here! - spatso
Hahahahahahahahhahaha. phaneuf has been even worse than Karlsson. |

Do you really want to go down this path. I was sort of hoping we would hold off until after Christmas before doing the Calder stuff |

10 pts in 13 games is trending for a 30 pts season? I knew you were a troll but I thought at least basic math was a concept you understood........guess not.
Although by your logic that would mean that matthews is on pace for like an 8 goal and 25 pts season.......guess the Leafs did make the wrong choice |

Your getting yourself exposed on this. Karlsson has been playing fantastic offensive hockey. Guys just are not burying the puck. The points will come. |

He is just off his game, normally he does not make these kind of errors. |

Laine is looking like he'll be a star player.
but seriously, nobody really believes he's going to maintain his 24% shooting percentage, right? |

3 points in his last 9. As soon as things buckled down, and he was forced to play D, it all dried up.
You realize now, all that yapping you chumps did about "historic season", was all because he was so historically bad defensively.
You're comparing ups and downs of a 19 year old kid, to someone you consider a top player in the league. That really does say it all. |

Like I say, I don't care about Laine. If I had to do it again, I'd still take Matthews. He's likely going to end up better. And even if he doesn't, we've still got Nylander and Marner, who have both been lights out as well. I'm happy as a pig in poop right now.
What I do find funny is that YOU are desperate to talk about Laine. You realize he plays for Winnipeg right? I love that you avoid talking about the Senators like the plague right now.
Is it because you know they're total crap right now? |

This entire post is the definition of irony, coming from the clown who literally does NOTHING but talk about the sens, for literally the last 3-4 years. |

I agree with you. leafs made the correct choice.
Number one centers don't grow on trees, and no one trades them away ........ unless the player demands to be traded.
Which leaf do you see as having the best shot at the Calder?

toss up. Marner has been the best all around so far. Nylander has been awesome too, and has the points to show for it. But Matthews is the youngest, when he gets acclimated, he's gonna take off. |

Big step up from the Swiss league, where he only played in 36 league games plus 4 playoff games.
Much more travel. media commitments etc ......... I agree, once he gets used to the "grind" he should excel. |

NHL Tiebreaking Procedures
Tie for the division, wildcard, or seeding
1 The greater number of games won (not including games won in a shootout)
2 The greater number of points earned in games between the tied clubs. If two clubs are tied, and have not played an equal number of home games against each other, points earned in the first game played in the city that had the extra game shall not be included. If more than two clubs are tied, the higher percentage of available points earned in games among those clubs, and not including any "odd" games, shall be used to determine the standing.
