No idea about the rumors, but how does trading for Morin mesh with the second part?

I have a good friend who was the Video Coach for the Toronto Marlies (actually tipped me on Panik trade a couple hours before it happened) and he told me the real reason Panik was dealt.

He heard directly from Mike Babcock that he thought his hockey IQ was too low and that it would never be where HE needs it to be to play in the NHL.

Keep in mind, Babs is as stubborn as Q sometimes. So when the Hawks came calling about Panik... Babs gave the go ahead to deal him because as long as he was in charge Panik would be a career AHLer.

Rumors abound that he was banging teammates' wives/girlfriends. Hawks ended up getting a steal but TOR had their reasons to move him. Anyone remember Panik's first game vs TOR after the trade? Several Leafs were head-hunting Panik

I thought he was actually Tampa Bays high draft pick that never became what they had hoped, was a waiver pick up in Toronto and never developed to Babcocks satisfaction either.

I remember he helped the Hawks FINALLY shed Morin and was benched his first game here for missing a practice when he *forgot the time changed and overslept. Didn't he start as a 3-4 line player with us as well and only ended up on the first line after Q wasn't finding anyone else?

I don't think they cared about who they got back - they needed someone who has already cleared waivers. No one picked up Panik on waivers so I don't think they saw him as anything valuable in a trade. Babcock didn't think too highly of Panik in any role tbh but Toronto picked him up in hopes he'd be a JVR type of player in the long run. If Morin ended up working out, good, but he was was a reclamation project with no risk and no expectations.

I have a desktop hooked to my TV that I use mainly. As a backup I use a chromecast to send it to my TV.

If you have a Chromecast, you can cast to your TV. It's especially easy if the stream from Reddit is on YouTube.

I doubt the Hawks call up anyone for the reasons you note - Hawks would either need to put someone on IR or send someone down.

I'd be happy if AA moved to the second line, Wingels to the third and move Hayden to fourth line center. Depending on game play, you could swap Hayden and Wingels. I know that AA is the whipping boy but he has proven that he knows how to play with Kane and that familiarity makes Schmaltz's absence a little less painful.

I'm a big fan of Roku and the stick is rated really high with a dual processor for 50 bucks. I've only used PlaystationVue to stream but love it, can record EVERYTHING and stays available for 28 days after recording. https://www.playstation.com/en-us/network/vue/
