Also, can we NOT bench Wingels anymore when 8 comes back. Put Kero in the press box...Wingels brings a ton of speed and energy. - kwolf68
Agreed....Kero showing nothing. Thank your CC for keeping it close. Terrible period by Duncan Keith, worst I've seen in a long time....and Hartman and Kane turnovers repeatedly. As for the PP....maybe it's time to change up that 1st unit for a bit ??? They're consistantly stagnant and lack intensity. Forsling for Keith at a minimum. |

The PowerPlay is still a hot mess. Phil Danault was all over us....he's a kid we should have never traded, especially for trash. He has one speed: All out. I still love that kid. |

Boy oh boy unfortunate bounce early in the game then the generous 5 on 3 and the hawks were able to hang in there, 15 giveaways has got to be cleaned up. |

It was an awful trade, anyway you slice it. Danault has played almost exclusively Top 6 minutes since being traded to MTL. 200ft center with speed to burn and tenacity on the puck that can play on any line. I forgive Stan for that trade bc he got SaadFather back. |

That was a horrible year for Stan and no way he should have moved Danault, no way...he was terrible for a couple years from the leddy trade to the scuderi mess, but since then he has gotten better, making more proactive trades, finding those diamonds in the rough. The Saad trade was an epic win, that's pretty obvious....jury still out on Murphy. Despite my reservations I'll give it more than 3 games. |

I counted 2 maybe 3 plays the Kero broke up with his stick on what would have been a scoring chance. Hardly nothing IMO. |

Looks like the Q rolodex is on full motion. I saw Bouma/Hartman/Anisimov and Kane/Hayden/Wingels. |

For me, it's also a hate/love relationship watching Danault. I love watching his success with the Habs(he was playing 1-2C last year). Overall glad he's getting a shot I'm not sure he had with the Hawks. The return for him was definitely poopty though. I'd like to see The Cat on Kanes line. From what I see (again not an entirely educated eye) he has a sneaky ability to switch from role to key player. A skill I feel he picked up plying with McD/Strome |

Q trying to get Kane better zone deployment / matchups, as he should. Can't do that when you also have Anisimov as your checking center. |

Hey, where's that guy that said Anisimov wasn't going to score on the PP without Kane and Panarin? |

That Franson pass was Brutal (Capital B), but then he made the nice play to DeBrincat. |

The first unit didn't move it fast enough and only got some open ice once they started cycling around a bit. Gotta find a way to get those PK guys moving a lot more. |

Hmm the one that lead to the shorthanded attempt? Thought it was Franson too. They both had bad passes in succession though. |

Nah, I mean before that, Franson made a bad pass which lead to DeBrincat making his bad pass. |

Great pass by Franson and great pass by Cat |

Watch the PP closely. Very little player movement. Only puck movement. Easy to defend |
