The other player on the line + deployment matter. For some reason, Q will not put Kero in the DZ against high QOC - he's only using Anisimov that way. Considering neither AA nor Hartman are great transition guys, it is not an ideal line to be in the DZ against other teams top lines. Add in that Kane looks completely lost in the situation, it's not a good look.

Q either needs to let Kero be the checking line center already or make some line changes - Kero with Hartman-Kane in the OZ or Sharp with AA-Kane. I can see why he might not like the latter simply because that means a line of young guns in Hartman-Kero-Debrincat but still. Kero isn't ideal for 2C but in short spans and deployment, he'd be fine.

Q was not particularly happy with Kane either.... he got benched for a bit in that game. I still don't buy that without Schamltz we are a one line team. A Sharp Anisimov Kane line is better than 99% of the 2nd lines in the NHL. And yes I know Sharp is an old man now.

The Wild bring 0-1-1 means they're a bit desperate for that first win. Hopefully the Hawks are ready to be desperate to play as good as they did in the first two games.

I agree even if people are just joking they should not post personal things about players. Would anybody on here like someone to post of facebook jokes like that are not true just joking around. a friend of someone wife/girlfriend could read it and forward it ETC. Its not even funny. I Still think I would like Sharp and Hartman swapped once Nick gets back. I know Hartman has both skill and willing to goto the next but Sharp needs players to get him shots in space and Nick and Kane create a lot of space. Cat creates space but AA does not. Also I think murphy has looked better each game and I'm not convinced in 3 years we will not look back and feel like we won that trade. If OST makes it thru Waivers having Pokka and OST down there really gives us some depth for the bottom pairing. I feel like you would have 4 guys that could be #6/7 D. Also Rockford should be dominant.

I think with the way the top line has ripped it up, Kane should start to see some more favorable matchups and get some space. Teams are sitting on him and there isn't a deterrent on the off side or creative presence up the middle to draw guys away. Schmaltz's speed and creativity open up space. AA going to the net and Hartman doing Hartman things aren't enough to scare most teams.

If Saad keeps having a monster year, there is less of a hurry to get Kane going and they can address that at a later time.

Someone on NHL network right now talking about how Toews worked on his speed/skating during the summer. Interesting. He has looked faster. Good stuff.

As for the lines why on earth doesn't Q keep Sharp-AA-ADB together? Makes no sense moving AA up to play with Kane, that hasn't worked out these past few games. And its preventing that 3rd line from forming chemistry. 2nd line should be Hayden-Hartman-Kane or Hartman-Kero-Kane. Keep lines 1 and 3 the same. No need to mess with the other lines.

Forsling has obvious puck skill, a good shot, decent enough size, and great mobility laterally. He is also clearly a work in progess with his decision making, and adjusting to the pace and size of NHL forwards. I'm glad Q is giving him some time to grow and learn on the job. After seeing Franson's defensive deficiencies result in two penalties, I would be shocked to see the Top 6 defense group change barring an injury. Murphy > Franson and he also has room to grow his game at only 23.
