Good to see Kero centering that 2nd line. FINALLY Q figured out the obvious. This way the 1st and 3rd lines stay the same, I wanna see 10-15-12 start to build some chemistry. - SimpleJack

The pp is a head scratcher. These guys are all stars but there is no urgency. No Dusty Bufly in front of the net. IMO this is why they lost last game. Not the goofy coaches call. The coaches call worked exactly as the league wanted it to.
I hate watching the wild. Boring!!!
Tonight should be high flying. GO HOCKS!!! - hocktock
Isn't it just a real crazy situation with that power play? They continue to run the same 20 passes on the perimeter looking for the backdoor one-timer. Why don't the coaching staff let these superstars come up with their own plays. Kind of drawing it up in the dirt so to speak. Let them get a little creative. Some teams evidently know how to do it. Make the opposition pay for taking a penalty. All it seems to do for them is give them a boost after killing it off. Here's to a little revenge tonight!!! |

Myself I don't have much of a problem with the PP so far. 4 goals in 5 games and sitting 19% which is near league average. Could it be better? Of course, but it isn't going to take much to go from good to great. Getting Schmaltz back will be a big difference, as he is one of the best on the team at gaining the zone in control of the puck. |

Does Forsling get any PP time? I hadn't noticed. |

Really perplexed by the benching of Murphy in 2 of the last 3 games. We all know what Franson is, but Murphy is a guy who is already a far better defender, and also gets his point shot to the net. Franson is big and good with the puck on his stick, but a very subpar defender. Murphy needs to play and develop, not sit in the press box. |

The problem with the power play is Keith and Kane. One or the other in my opinion Keith brings nothing to the power play
It's like to see Forsling in Keith's place, I'd even be okay with Panik in Kanes place |

You prefer to see Forsling or Kempny blast away than Keith and Seabrook? Time to stop over reliance upon stars of the past aka Keith and Seabrook. They are not stars any longer, maybe can be good but not stars!
If this team was run right and Schmaulz was back, I believe Keith could still be good. But it is more than one player's return. The hockey environment is stale under Q
From break outs to forwards checking to net front presence, we need a new voice. It is not that the players do not respect Q. But the players need a new direction. Either Dineen or Samuelson. Or Q better wake up. I do not foresee another Dineen McDonough conversation as a tonic. Stan you need to read the situation. Thanks Q for all you have done. Please accept a scouting job or whatever - we like you, you can stick around, but not as head coach.
Late add: so apparently no one gets it on how to run a power play. Stop doing the same old ALL the time. Is this Q's fault for not recognizing this problem? |

Well too early to say if I prefer it, but he does have a heavy, accurate shot from the point. Wasn't that what stood out in his scouting report? I'd like to see what he can bring to the meh powerplay. |

What a good first shift. Toews showing his skill and Keith sending a message. |

oooffff, Seabrook! He owes Crawford a tap on the pads I'd think after he got bailed out after the bad pass.
Looking like Toews wants to score tonight, he is going for the shot and playing with some good pace. |

Repeat. Again this period, next period, all game.
Repeat each Game!? Won't happen. |

So much for consistently calling slashing |

Correct me if I'm wrong, if the guy puts his free hand on the shoulder of the player in front of him its holding? |

Okay I'm going to have to agree, Seabrook's lack of speed is noticeable. |

So far it looks like the burden is once again on Crawford.
And yes, Seabs is looking very slow these days. |

Yeah, he was soft on that puck. Seems like the team needs to make some adjustments on the breakout now that they are facing some tighter checking teams like Minny and Nashville. |

Q won't be too happy with some of these turnovers at the blueline...AA got stripped, Seabrook with a terrible pass, Kane passed it right to the Preds, Kero stripped.. |
|
|
|
See even if you put Sharp with Kane the pass gets stolen, for now Kane needs to go to scoring areas without the puck |

Hawks being significantly outplayed again. Kane very careless with the puck the last few games. Big PP chance here. |

Yeah, you should probably watch the full game if you're going to pass judgement. - L_B_R
You mean like how they are looking in the first period of the Nashville game too? Having problems getting out of their own zone and getting any sustained pressure in the o-zone?
