You Hawks fans are hilarious. 2 wins in a row and you're going to the win the Cup this year. One bad game against a solid opponent and you all b*tch and moan about how horrible the coach is, how bad your defense is, etc etc. The Hawks are still a damn good team, it will just take a little bit of time for the new faces to gel. Now if it was 30-40 games into the season and the same issues are still a problem then yeah, time for concern. I have no doubt Hawks will be right there again come playoff time.

Was kane the only one shooting on that powerplay? Panik tried a garbage shot but it wasn't much, saad did something similar. Keith, as we all know, isn't quite a goal scoring d-man as amazing as he is. Toews looked like all passes.

A lot of support for Toews on here. That's understandable only if he wasn't taking up 1/7 th of the team's salary cap. Given that he is, his play is totally unacceptable. Unfortunately, I don't think we'd get much in trade for him because of that salary. What would you take; a couple #1's from a really poopty team to get some lottery picks? I don't think any of the last years playoff teams would take Toews with that salary cap hit. A crappy team may take him to put people in the seats.

For the guys on here that believe that this team will gel, don't believe the team's sales pitch. It isn't going to happen because we blew our load and have limited to no talent in the pipeline. And, the core's talent is just not what it was to overcome our skill deficiencies.
