Hey 6628,
Did you notice Michael Jordan's restaurant opened across from Oak Brook mall, on 22nd (aka Cermak or Butterfield at various points). It replaces a Tuscany but Tuscany remains in the city couple of spots.
I have heard only good reports on Michael Jordans. |

I guess, but there will be a hundred replays on NHL channel if either one does more than pick his nose. |

To: those who want to acquire Duchesne
I feel better hoping and sort of expecting that Forsling will get better, more consistent. I sure hope so, because I really believe if you see enough improvement in the young guys....one of your top two gets traded AFTER the season. The money saved could go to pay increase in an expiring contract.
I also want to stress, DeBrincat is not in play nor is our #1 2018. It is rather obvious to myself if I am a rival GM I am not trading a top player for a package which includes a small size skill guy who meedles too much in battle and has not learned to keep his head up
Now I do love having this kid DeBrincat and maybe Sikula may be our depth skill
scoring down the stretch - both are good for playoffs should we qualify.
Because we have a center with lots of mileage who is switching to a skating skill concentration (He could still play many years despite a lot of concussions already), because Schmaultz and DeBrincat are smallish centers whom are long term question marks vis-a-vis durability + concussions, I therefore want to draft a center or possibly consider trading for a center after the season.
This #1 2018 should not be dealt no matter what. Who and what you consider drafting is just guesswork right now. I suspect some want Osterle to play well so that a Forsling and ? may be traded. But I prefer to keep and not even not add to our blueline crew. Let them improve, live and die with them
Totally right on the second paragraph........but..........not sold on any of those young Hawks you mentioned , not a one, half of them were undrafted FA's that Bowman took a flier on , hit or miss there, the 2forwards, we're the best available when it was our time to draft, if either of them are the next Kane than they would have been taken long before they got to Chicago........ So my point is...... This is where Bowman truly has to be good at liers poker and get GM's to believe these guys are worth a lot more than thought. And if it comes down to a slam dunk to aquire a Matt Duchene for a package of these guys, I'm in a win now mode, I'm taking the deal, I think Bowman learned from his mistake before when he almost had Ryan Kesler and it fell through because he didn't want to part with TT. Where is TT now? I am absolutely sure Patrick Kane would still enjoy having Ryan Kesler as his center the last 2seasons and present.
Like I said before , the Colorado thing may never happen , but if Sakic is dumb enough to make that trade for that proposed bag of nothing, I am sure Bowman will personally fly out to Colorado and bring Duchene back himself. Just my take on it, that is all.
Have to believe if one of the young guys bombs out that is why Bowman retained Svedberg, Pokka and Gus at Rockford. Snuggerud probably needs a full year learning and improving playing defense, although his offense is NHL ready.
Also I do suggest if another young guy is playing well by season end, you might be able to break in a Carlsson or the Finnish guy next season. I view Norell, Dahlstrom as needing to take next step in development because all they represent now is depth or third pair due to injuries. The seasoned Gus, Svedberg, Pokka get the call unless one of the other really opens eyes. What'sd up with Press btw? Rotating dman or injury at the Rock? - jhawk59
Edit.. Sorry J Hawk, I screwed up your post, user malfunction on the I pad. Didn't read it all the way through before responding. Good post on your part though. |

Hey Jhawk, I know where that's at but I've never been to Jordans. Tuscany was pretty good once in a while. |

Asked Bowman about Seabrook's contract: "He’s a leader, he’s a warrior, he’s a very effective player. I’m not concerned about his contract."
Bowman on D rotation: "It’s better than the alternative when you’ve got 4 defensemen you have faith in and you’re scrambling to find 5 & 6." |

We like our team Dylan at 160 lbs is going to come in and battle for us in the playoffs.
I'm pumped to see Sikura doing so well, but he doesn't exactly have Hayden's size, who came and played a little, even in the playoffs.
It also sounds like the Hawks are terrified he's going to leave a la Kevin Hayes so it's comments like this from Bowman in the media in hopes to get the kid excited.
Guess we'll see!

Bowman foresaw signing Dylan Sikura in March as a Blackhawks trade deadline move. He thought Sikura could step in & contribute right away. |

As a Chicagoan, I still need someone to explain this to me about deep dish.
More of a good thing? I get.
But WHY... WHY... would anyone ever want to put the sauce on top?!?!?!?!
You have one chance - when you bake it - to use the Maillard reaction to make something golden brown and delicious...
Cheese can be golden brown and delicious.
Meats can be roasted to perfection.
Even a top crust can be nicely browned.
But tomato sauce? While everything that can be made to taste good through browning - steams underneath?
Makes no sense.
Same with the Chicago hot dog. Who in their right mind would want a bland dog floating in scum on a steamed bun? Give me a grilled polish with grilled onions at Comiskey any day. - busmaster
Then go to the wiener circle, grill dogs all day and a bag of greasy fries |

And scary thing is he gave him the contract.
Slow slower & slowest.
Might be worth 1/2 of that contract for 4 less years.
Stanley is STUCK with that horrid contract.
