Just reading about Alberta’s approach to their vaccine passport thingy. It’s actually an interesting approach. If you own a restaurant fir example, if you opt to require proof of vaccination or a negative test, you can operate with no restrictions. It sounds like if you don’t want to require proof of vaccination you can still operate, but with the restrictions that we became so used to in the past year. Physical barriers, distancing, occupancy limits, earlier cut off fir alcohol sales etc.

As a business you could choose to service the market that won’t vaccinate, albeit at reduced capacity. I wouldn’t go to those places, but they should be allowed to be open as long as they are following provincial guidelines.

Here in Germany you have to either be fully vaxxed or present a recent negative test to go into bars. I think I get asked to show my vaccination passport about 20% of the time at bars... I'm sure in Alberta you'd rarely get asked.

At least the $650m was well spent, they’re still “in power” and can go another several years before it happens again.

There were some positives though. Albert's covid response derailed any momentum the conservatives had. One of Canada's greatest, most successful and most respected musical artists in history, Alanis Morissette, would call that ironic. Also, O'Toole tried to drag his party to the middle... however unsuccessfully. This will either drive the Alberta yokels to the PPC or move the party back to the trailer park. Either way, it's a win-win.

Finally, it will be fun hearing about the whining about the election results from Alberta. I can't wait to hear about secession talks. They'll want to leave Canada... But probably after getting help from the other provinces for their covid patients.

Sounds like BC health is telling LNG Canada that they need at least 75% of its workers vaccinated, or they will have to either remove the unvaccinated or shutdown.
As a vaccinated person, I won't be divulging unless absolutely necessary, as I am not interested it getting the numbers up, so the unvaccinatwd can keep a job.
