Agreed. I have no problem with people protesting. However, as long as protesters know that there are responsibilities/consequences that come with civil disobedience.

If you break the law or the protests become illegal, I have no problem bringing the full force of the law down on them.

And before you (the lurkers who read this thread but pretend you don't) think I'm talking exclusively about the truckers, think again.

I'm talking all protests. If you (the universal you) have no problem with what the truckers did, then you shouldn't have any issues with Greta Thunberg type protests, Project Extinction shutting down bridges, environmentalists shutting down the port, logging protesters shutting down logging roads etc.

Happy with people protesting peacefully and lawfully, fine with people protesting with civil disobedience as long as they're fully aware of the consequences and accept that going in (with the asterisk of overt violence/terrorism from both the protestors and the police, that's not cool).

I think *most* lefty protest people are accepting with being arrested over civil disobedience, there's a long history of it from the civil rights through environmentalism and so forth.

Now, it seems that everyone (in most protests) thinks that just because their cause is "righteous" (based on their own logic/beliefs) that there should be no consequence.

Trump is a moron, and I’m not condoning what’s going on right now, but this has been an inevitability since US and EU backed militants took over the government back in 2014.

Imagine if Russia and China backed a faction that took over control of Mexico, and allowed those nations to move military personnel and equipment into Mexico on the border with Texas.
