Out of curiosity, why did you do a cleanse? From my reading, most cleanses/detoxes are poopty gimmicks that don't really do much. Fasting (or intermittent fasting), though, has had some marked impacts on peoples health. - NewYorkNuck

Not surprising. I found this part hit really close to home:
An analysis of over six-million posts on Hockeybuzz by boonerbuck — and where they originate from — has found that Canada is being targeted by Russia to influence public opinion here. |

that’s fu cking gold.
“The tweets commonly express pro-Russian talking points, including that Ukraine is a fascist state or that NATO wants to expand, posing a threat to Russia.”
“A lot of the tweets in pro-Russian social media conversations also express mistrust of institutions and “a specific mistrust of Canada’s Liberal government, and especially of Prime Minister (Justin) Trudeau,” the report found.”
I’m sure I’ve heard those exact talking points before… just can’t put my finger on where. |

Interesting article, although the 1st response from a few will be to laugh at the article because they research their own information and the University of Calgary and Global News are Liberal supported influencers, do your own research. Russia great, Ukraines nazis, Trudeau is Castro son and Harper, Ambrose, Scheer, O'Toole, Bergen and the next great one are righteous, noble, honest, caring, empathetic leaders.

You do realize that you are doing the exact same thing as the people you are making fun of right?
I don’t think Trudeau is Castros son, or out to get me and steal my wealth. I also don’t think Putin is a genius, or a very good guy. But what is happening there is much more complicated than anyone in here seems to be willing to acknowledge or accept. And Canadian (and US and European) media is as guilty of spreading misinformation or biased information as Russia is. |

Sure, and that’s wrong. But Makita is laughing about the “propaganda” that NATO, for example, wants to get stronger as an example of fake news. Do you believe that NATO does not want to get stronger? Did NATO not just sign up two new nations who had previously remained neutral? Is NATO not right now, at this vary minute requiring Canada to spend a certain amount of its federal budget on military arms/equipment?
I don’t think NATOs actions justify war, because I think there is always always always a road to resolution through negotiation. But can you not see how one nation would feel threatened if a global organization had military equipment and personnel in several countries on their borders. Nations who are historically opposed tho their “way of life”.
The hypocrisy is unbearable. |

Far from the intention of my post, I wasn’t laughing at NATO’s intentions of growing larger. Or whether or not that Trudeau and Putin are this, that, or the other thing. I was mocking the dismissal of articles such as the UofC referenced above or and the references in the article of misinformation against the government. I took the liberty to correlate that to several posts I have read here that Trudeau is Castro son, and the insistence that any conservative is holy and just.
So Russia is justified in using any type of weapons at their disposal to attack Ukraine but Ukraine and other countries can’t join NATO because they feel threatened with their inadequate armies and weapons, and they shouldn’t accept any assistance because now Russia feels threatened because the have military superiority over these lesser nations.
You are right about one thing, the hypocrisy is unbearable |

Maybe NATO wants to expand because Putin/Russia are threatening the sovereignty of state nations. He has made no bones about longing for the former Soviet Union. |

No, I didn’t say any of what you are inferring. Honestly, I didn’t read anything new or interesting in that piece. Really, Russian bots are trying to sway peoples opinions on Twitter? OMG 🤯.
Sure, you were poking fun at LH and BH, fair enough. But that poop wasn’t news, and not because it’s UofC or Global or whoever posted it. |

Maybe, it’s not called an arms race for nothing. Imagine if people were civilized enough to use all those resources to make sure people were healthy and happy instead of the poop that’s going on now. |

Well, I don’t think NATO’s mandate has anything to do with this, so I guess Putin is more likely to keep Russian citizens healthy and happy?
NATO’s mission is: NATO's mission is to protect the freedom of its members and the stability of their regions. Its targets include weapons of mass destruction, terrorism, and cyber-attacks.
Not a member? Don’t care about your stability.
Sorry, my full attention isn’t here, I’m having a twitter fight about electric cars at the moment. |

When I'm in Mexico, I do just what he suggests. Go to the hole in the wall places and experience real people. I have lots of friends who ask me for suggestions and I tell them if you're there for a vacation you probably wouldn't like my way of travelling.

Hate people who "travel" with all inclusive resorts. Get dirty, learn the customs, drink and eat local |

Why go all inclusive when food and booze are so much cheaper and often better? Take a night or two when you come in then go somewhere else. |
