There is a lot of drinking at that event, hell there's a lot of drinking at any fishing event, I watched Willie pass out onto his dinner plate several years ago.

I read one of the married owners of the lodge was making out with an employee on the dance floor when a band was playing, then they took it to the bathroom. Some staff followed them in to tell them it wasn't a good look and it escalated from there.

For Tofino residents, they say this may not have been the first time something like this has happened.

“From the talk of the town, some people are acting like it’s not a surprise,” said Fowler.

“There was definitely this energy of like it’s not the first time and Tofino’s kind of sick of the bullpoop of one person who thinks they’re above having consequences,”

Yikes. Sounds like Willie’s got a reputation for this type of behaviour. Good on the employees for standing together and not tolerating this behaviour.

They said "no more or we're done". He showed up for the 1st seating on a Friday night loaded. The entire staff walked out of a full restaurant on a busy Friday night, leaving him to explain to the customers. He never drank on the job again.
