Well, it didn’t take long for new Alberta Premier Danielle Smith to do a swan dive into the murky waters of delusion and political pandering.

Shortly after being sworn in Tuesday to replace Jason Kenney, Smith called those who refused vaccination against COVID-19 “the most discriminated against group that I’ve ever witnessed in my lifetime.”

That she could say so demonstrated to everyone who has faced true discrimination either (a) profound ignorance of both history and current realities or (b) bottomless capacity for pandering to the misplaced sense of victimhood in her right-wing base.

I thought the bolded was hilarious because it’s so true. “Misplaced sense of victimhood” is a perfect summary of what these people are like at both ends of the extreme; right and left.

Good for her and very good to see the stand vs Ottawa coming. Just saying what Albertans/folks are actually thinking. We finally have our Ron Desantis in AB so hopefully she keeps her platform and doesn't flip flop like Kenney did with Trudeaus billion dollar bribes to implement vax passes and mandates that divided family and friends forever. But hey...the 5-6 champs in here sure love them some discrimination and segregation hey? And with the latest Pfizer dump/press release in the EU basically admitting the vaccines were useless and never did prevent transmission Smith's words are even more validating now than ever. I'm just waiting for the Ukraine flags and masks to pop up the the champs bios in here. Guess they aren't sick and tired of being lied to yet...
