A few surprises I guess. I think that the GOP didn’t take more seats convincingly suggests the American people, Republican and Democrat are sick of Trump. If they had simply accepted defeat in 2020, and found a new voice with all the same issues - election fraud aside - it would have been a landslide.

Not true, but it is a popular talking point of the alt right.

Most states saw a decline in population over Covid because immigration was slowed or halted during that time. The exception was Texas. But even in Texas, some cities declined in population (like Dallas and Houston) while others exploded, especially around Austin and San Antonio.

And what was the demographic that increased the most in Texas? Non-American latinos. I’m sure that ain’t mentioned on the Proud Boys recruitment brochure.

It looks as though it’s a safe bet to declare the Arizona Senate seat and Secretary of State as wins for the Democratic Party. Governor race is still too close to call but again a democrat is in a slight lead.
