This is my problem... I don't like blanket associations. As the thread title suggests, it's false dichotomy.

There is a divide and conquer mentality in the US and they go too far when they practice it on themselves (left vs right). The world needs their consumption. If they are too busy fighting amongst themselves they ain't buying. If they ain't buying the whole house of cards comes down.

And then we are in a world of pain. We all need the American political cow to keep grazing. Sure, swat at a few flies but otherwise keep your (frank)ing head down and feed. The rest of us will replenish the trough.
