I think it’s all very fascinating. We’re in a transition period in society and these situations are bound to happen. I have no problem with Provorov’s stance. But I do have a problem with the Flyers response.

You can be suspended for not attending a NHL event like the all-star game or if you miss practice or even if you are late to a team meeting. Yet Provorov can choose to sit out an important team initiative? Seems hypocritical to me. If Provy does not want to participate then he sits out the game and does not get paid. Simple. But he ended up playing the most minutes out of any Flyer. Plus he got support from Torts during the post-game presser. Weird.

If you truly had “respect for everyone”, you would simply shut your mouth, skate around like everything else and then play the game.

Torts came out hard against the kneeling during the anthem, but then rolled back his stance saying that if a team member wanted to bring awareness to an issue he would welcome that person coming to him, discussing it with the rest of the team and coming to a mutually agreed upon plan of action. I have my doubts that this took place.

Statistics suggest another surge may be coming. ICU filling up. Number of clinical staff are getting sick with COVID. Out of 20 staff in my office, 5 got COVID over the past three weeks. Those five didn’t get COVID the first time around.

The government may not go for restrictions again but that won’t stop the health authorities from suggesting it.

Also, it's one this to protest FOR something (kneeling during the anthem)... but it feels worse to not participate/protest AGAINST something, especially something as humane as equal rights.

Half of those are likely vaccine injuries, and 100% of them were certainly with illegal firearms, so there’s really nothing we (society) could do to stop this kind of tragedy from occurring. Maybe when Trump is president again he can make guns safer by making sure everyone has one.
