Not defending this (I quite like Bernie myself), but I also wonder if this is only part of the Ticketmaster story. There was a good John Oliver about them this past year where he basically pointed out the MASSIVE monopoly Ticketmaster has because of the venues they own the rights for (I think that was it) through Live Nation. Basically if you want to show at anything of a good venue in any city, you HAVE TO go through Ticketmaster. It's terrible. Good 20 minute watch:
