It's not too late and not everything introduced by Trudeau is as bad as you portray. A change is overdue, but it's not like there are a bunch of stellar alternatives.

The absolute worst thing we could see is Poilievre winning a majority. Turning everything back isn't the solution, we need to move forward progressively. A conservative minority could achieve that without radical change.

To me, anyone campaigning on identity politics is a hard no. It just doesn’t belong in the political discourse. You want to talk about solving the affordable living crisis, or toxic drugs, or international support for warring nations, or trade, hell, I’m here for a carbon tax debate, but if you’re going to vote for a particular candidate because they’re not going to let girls with penises compete in school sports, (frank) off.

Having said that, I’m in favor of competitive sports being sex based, rather than gender based. My son played co-ed house hockey from novice to midget. There were girls on our team almost every year. But in rep hockey, there shouldn’t be 17 year old biological males playing girls hockey.

I mostly agree.

I'm not sure how I''d feel if my 15 year old daughter had 17-18 year old males on her rugby team though. I guess I could always pull her out of the program if I felt it was a safety issue.

It really isn't a driving force for my vote however.

I think it’ll get better regardless, just by simply making life more affordable, less tax, you’ll see a positive change. Most average Canadians, like you and I, we put our noses down and work hard for our families, you don’t get caught up in the fluff on a daily basis. Until you go somewhere else you don’t realize how expensive life is there. And trust me, it’s very expensive to be a middle class Canadian.

I don't see massive tax cuts as a positive change, and I'm a guy that pays more than his fair share of taxes. I would like to see a shift from personal taxes towards investment income. More importantly, the tax dollars need to be simplified so there is far less bureaucratic waste.

I'd also still like to see corporations pay more tax, but there's a proper way to do it to balance environment and premium job creation. That's where tax credits come in, which can all be offered in scale.

My wife works in social development, and the excess and downright laziness is appalling. It really makes you wonder why so many of these people are allowed to have more children, as controversial as that might sound.

From my personal experiences, Canada is one of the most wasteful bureaucratic nations I've ever witnessed. There are so many useless workers with nothing, or very little, to do. Oil companies are the same, half the people in our office work three hours of an eight hour work day. But as the old saying goes, "it's better to be lookin at em, than lookin for em"....when it's busy you are glad they are there.

I went through the Edmonton International airport last year when I went up there for a meeting, when I left for my return flight home, I was checked by FOUR screening people within a 40 foot straight line area. What a complete waste of money, why are there four people to do this? In Canada the cost of airport security and screening is paid for, in full, by passengers through ticketing. At least according to the report I'll attach below. Those four people probably make 50-60K a year. In the US I have to go through one security ID checkpoint to get into the airport. No wonder air travel in the US is so much less expensive.
