lol of course...as long as they support the local narratives correct?
Look, many of these things are directly related now. North America is currently enjoying 20 years of inflation compacted into the last 3-4 years. This in part, is thanks to JT and Biden printing LARGE amounts of money and flooding certain markets with it. JT flooded Canada with over 600 Billion and you don't think there is no federal correlation with inflation? Come on man...
And while I somewhat agree that housing is municipal and Provincial JT has also made this a federal issue by allowing open borders and mass immigration. Where do you house all these folks coming in all the while giving them free taxpayer handouts? It's all connected dude.
Rent and housing costs have over DOUBLED under Trudeau in 8 years man how is this not a federal issue now? And now before JT is punted he wants to allow another 1.5 million folks in the next 1.5 years...how is this workable considering the mess he created? Think about that for a bit.
And also he hasn't hit ONE climate target in 8 years of office. But yet Canadians are being taxed to death for a climate narrative that has been debunked time and time again. Until the UN goes after Russia India China and the US we know it's all horsehsh!t but yet hard working Canadians need to suffer for it.
So actually I have provided some facts to the reality here. You just don't want to acknowledge what is actually going on as it doesn't support your view point. If you somehow can challenge these facts in an open debate I welcome it...but logically you can't as it's unfolding right before your eyes. - LordHumungous
I have no narrative, I've been honest about my political affiliation. I'm a conservative. My problem is MAGA types like yourself are not conservative. You fire out these statements as "fact" yet you people never take the time to really dig into the problems. Ya'll think it's the fault of one person and that's so narrowminded.
Ok, let's break this down one paragraph at a time.
Inflation. Take a look at this MacroTrend site. It does show inflation has increased but it's in-line with any Western country like UK as an example. If this was a Trudeau or Biden problem then it would be exclusive to Canada and the US. But it's not. Inflation is a global issue, not national. But interesting enough, Alberta has the highest inflation rate amongst all provinces due to natural gas prices rising by 15.1 per cent year-over-year. That's probably why you are more aggravated by it. Your province has done a terrible job of managing its economy. You should have a conversation with your premier.
Canada:

Rent and housing costs have doubled. Housing costs have exponentially increased. No doubt. But there are many causes beyond Trudeau’s control. Provinces and cities (responsible for land-use planning, zoning and permitting) bear most of the blame, as do real estate investors, foreign buyers, years of rock-bottom interest rates, greed, etc. etc. The only thing that the Feds have done to increase the cost of housing and rent is their ambitious immigration targets, which have outpaced home building.
Climate. Taxing pollution is a great way to reduce pollution. But I agree with you that the way this government is going about it is all wrong. My issue with the carbon tax is that it's not being used to fight pollution. The funds generated by the tax is going into the government's general revenue. Plus GST is being applied to the tax so once again its tax on tax. That's not the purpose of the tax. It infuriates me. 100% that's on Justin.
So be infuriated, I am too. But I'm not so narrowminded to think an idiot like Justin has the ability to signle-handedly "destroy" Canada is childish and stupid and really doesn't help fix any of these problems. You're just looking for a scapegoat.

Oh (frank) here we go. I told you I didnt want to play these games and brushed off your trolling and little personal shots for weeks and weeks. When people were firing personal shots at you, I stayed the (frank) out of it. You kept escalating. I had a long conversation how I thought that this team's new image, the tight group who has emerged was a product of the new players brought in, RT and the new coaching staff, the emergence of JT Miller's leadership, our young players coming of age, and the general overall great work that PA and JR have done... but over and over you circle back... Bo, Bo, Bo, Bo... My entire conversation was void of trolling, personal shots or any kind of attacks. The only thing you did in response was troll and insult. I log on the next day and you had escalated to ripping into me with that clown Don. That's when I changed gears.
You got your ass handed to you. So you cry about it. Now you drive one of the only people who stayed out of all the attacks you were putting up with into the group that's had enough of your routine. Live with it or stfu. |

The champs are one thing I can handle they/them no problem. Just disappointed you went down a certain path of insults amongst other things. Don and I didn't 'rip into you' lol you just appear to take things so bloody literally nowadays it's hard to understand which version of you we are going to receive or ten bloody pages of it lol
If you want to join in the attacks with the champs all good I guess that's on you...but be ready for the rebuttals just like anyone else. You get so pissy now when challenged it all turns into some sort of 'personal attacks' on you which isn't the case. Probably best to learn the difference between the two IMO.
Anyways moving on I guess the irony here that you didn't want to 'play the games' but yet remain fully engaged. Taking me to task lol. It appears you took my criticism of the Canucks personally on some level and chose to switch into a path of insults and your own version of 'personal shots'. Dish it out...take it. Nobody is indifferent to this. You included. Cheers dude.

Not that I think anyone is overly interested but here's the link to the discussion with people about the team's leadership and change of culture started. It's clear who was intent on turning it ugly as you read on. As you can see, all people involved including me moved on to other topics for a couple of pages. In the end, it's you and Donna running your mouth and not even trying to have a discussion. At that point, you were put in our place.

Enough of the bullpoop already. You are not just voicing concerns for the Canuck's... you are flat out trolling Canuck fans. You are not the victim of Booner. I've been pointing out all along I am not getting involved so stop trolling me before that changes. You take that advice and escalate instead. It's the bed you made...

So from what I read in 2023 the US and Canada ranked 9th and 10th lowest respectively in the global inflation index.
Whereas it's still higher than what the BOC desires, it's much lower than what's happening globally. |

Exactly. The narrative is "Justin's destroying our country" and that's all that the MAGA crowd has. That's all that Poilievre has as well. No discernable plan to fix, just blame. So (frank)ing annoying.
Justine sucks but for completely different reasons that what LH spews. If LH would just take the time to read something other than his MAGA conspiracy sites and listen to his uneducated buddies at wing night, he would be so much more at peace.

lol wow now we are posting links to past threads and this was your trigger mechanism? Seriously man check the obsessive behaviour at the door now please.
'Obsessions typically don't have any single root cause. Instead, they are most likely due to a combination of genetic and environmental factors'.
Sure I contribute to the 'environment' in the main thread. But it's not some obsessive game by Don, Myself Vantel and a few others to get you rattled and riled up. You did that all on your own. Either way I'm moving on from this. You should do the same. Cheers. |

As an aside, things could get very interesting nationwide within the next month. All contracts have expired as of Jan 1st 2024 for approximately 98% of the railroad locomotive engineers and conductors in Canada.
CP and CN both have strike mandates from their members, from what I understand. These companies also own and operate many of the short lines in Canada.
To be clear, a conductor strike only at CN cripple transportation throughout the country. Having both of those crafts out at both class 1 railroads in Canada would certainly cause some product shortages.
Stock up on toilet paper and other non-perishables.
The last time CN conductors went on strike the government did not rule us back to work. We were out for a week before the company offered an acceptable contract. The company to this point has refused to negotiate, simply throwing some "take it or leave it" offers on the table which effectively wants to turn the collective agreement into a 26 page document. It's currently over 300 pages.....
Rather long winded but the interesting part is who is going to rule us back to work? |

This is the truth, regardless of what Richard spews with absolutely no substance to back it up.
The last conservative PM I endorsed was Mulroney, and Joe Clark before him, now I also have to place blame on Mulroney for the alliance with reform, he thought the conservatives were in their decline and was instrumental in bringing the two parties together. That turned into the worst merger in Canadian politics, we now have idiots like Stockwell Day, Kenny, O'Toole (by far the best of the idiots), and little Trump wanna be in Poilievre, is it any wonder why knowledgeable Canadians keep voting in that idiot Trudeau, it's not because they like him, it's because people do not want a Christian Reform party ruling (ruining) Canada. |

Whenever they get the chance to elect an old school conservative to leadership they balk and want the "revolutionary leader" . Then they wonder why they can't win an election.
Elections aren't about getting everything you want, it's very rare that you get a candidate whose agenda mirrors your own. Even less so that they're in a position to govern the country.
Nowadays it's about electing who's going to (frank) it up the least. |

Exactly. He's sitting here talking about what was said in a thread 2 days ago playing this story off that he was attacked in a discussion. So I post a link to it showing his version is BS and he cries foul about.
It's two days ago and what he has built his beef around. He's comparing that to threads from long ago that people have moved on from. |

How can you point the finger about moving on? Each of the last 3 days you've had a chance to start fresh but you just pick up the sword and continue to run your mouth each day. Day 1 after the conversation was long over without anyone fighting bout it I log on and you and Don are going off about me. Day 2 I log and and you are already firring shots. Day 3 I log on and you are already firing shots.
Your version both of moving on and being targeted are pretty funny.

So last July we traded in a Ram1500 for a Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV. I was driving the Ram as a primary vehicle doing roughly 10-12K driving a year. We also have a 2015 Hyundai Elantra that the wife was driving. She drives roughly 22k a year.
I traded it in and switched cars with the wife, suggesting we buy another vehicle in a year. So far we've saved over $600 month in fuel, including what we pay for electricity. Driving habits matter though and most of her mileage is in the city.
The Sienna is on order with a reported mileage of 6.6L/100km mixed driving which is even less than the Elantra. Unfortunately , the Mitsubishi isn't really big enough for the whole family to go on a vacation in although it's great for local driving.
What makes us laugh is that the fuel savings on the 2 vehicles is pretty much enough to pay for 1 of them. |

lol funny how it all boils back to consensus that 'you are just a Maga loving conspiracy guy' when you types are backed into a corner with facts of what's going on.
So here's maybe a simpler kind of top 5 break down for you of how to destroy a great country in less then 10 years:
1 - In the three years before Bill C69 came into effect a total of 112 major Natural Resource projects were worth 196 billion dollars were either suspended cancelled or put on hold. In the time it took Canada to build and approve 1 LNG export facility the USA built and approved 7 export facilities and has 5 more under construction with an additional 15 approved. Quote " Looks like the CDN economy is starting to shrink and grind to a halt' lol. Latest GDP numbers show this to be devastating. Canada should be one of the top 5 richest countries in the world but thanks to ridiculous climate narratives we are a joke when it come to our own resources.
2 - Quote 'PM Trudeau has now added more debt than the last 21 PMs COMBINED'. This is fact. Quote JT 'you'll forgive me if I don't think about monetary policies' lol. There has to be SOME fiscal responsibility dude but with your mindset this is ok? wow.
3 - Increase Carbon taxes every single year without hitting one single climate target in 8 years. Gas prices rise exponentially every year which now affects food prices massively. Fastest pace in 40 years. Home and rent prices surge at it's fastest pace on record.
4 - Disarm the good folks and free criminals on bail. Going after Grandpa's hunting rifles instead of Gangsters in TO and across the country seem like an OK idea to you lol? Criminals out on 'bail' under JT's regime have now committed an epic number of crimes across the country. This needs to be fixed. And now we have mass un-vetted immigration which is another matter altogether.
5 - Take away freedom of speech. So with C11 letting the government regulate the internet, then there is C18 to commandeer the big tech companies and search engines, and now there is C36 to put folks under house arrest have a curfew and have any firearms you have seized, put an ankle bracelet on you to monitor you.
quote 'the level of admiration I actually have for China and their basic dictatorship'
- JT
And this 5 points don't even touch on the over dozen scandals now tied to JT and his office. You honestly need to pay f ucking attention to what is happening around you dude and the causes in place. Instead of coming back with just 'MAGA buddies at wing night' lol why don't you take a few moments to actually understand WTF is going on?
