lol Harper left Trudope with over a 2 billion dollar surplus with a trending bad economy which was pissed away in less than 6-9 months.
Trudeau trying to un do the damage??
Honestly Makita I respect your opinion and moderation on here but I'm not gonna even honour that with a response lol
If you can't understand the damage that Trudeau has done in less than 4 years then seriously bro you can't be helped.
Is what it is. - LordHumungous
Right back at you, I do appreciate your opinions, but I will honour that with a response.
As someone said earlier, it’s a team and people pick sides and stick to them, regardless.
You shouldn’t assume I don’t understand the damage Trudeau is currently creating because I do, I’m quite familiar with federal politics and the asinine decisions all gov’t make. Which makes me more objective and more aware of the waste of taxpayers money, regardless of true conservative, alliance conservatives, or liberals.
So far the best government I have worked within has been a minority government, the absolute worst government was a alliance majority.
The money being thrown around freely and off the wall drama associated with Trudeau is incomprehensible.
By the way, i actually voted against Trudeau, I voted Joe Clark, and I didn’t vote for junior either, or the alliance dictator. |

Like I said earlier, I'd be happiest with minority gov'ts moving forward. Alliance are christian fundamentalist autocrats. |

Probably the most wasted politician in my lifetime. If he looked like junior he would have probably won a couple of terms. |

I voted for Mulroney, twice. The first two federal elections i was eligible to vote in.
I voted for him purely because I supported the GST and Free Trade.

I don't tout it but I was a Mulroney guy too. At the time when the world was dominated by Reaganomics ( ) he was a perfect leader for Canada. Talk about a President-whisperer.
Did you know that he eulogised both Reagan and Bush Sr? Crazy. I can't think of a time in history when Canada was front and centre in US international affairs. That's because of our leader's personality, not Canada's economic or military might. |

just saw this as realistic and exactly how real people, you know the ones that are objective and can see and be tolerant, are maligned by closed minded issue driven individuals.
Case in point, because I can’t swallow the Fascism Alliance Conservatives I’m a Trudeau supporter... |

Yes. Good old fashioned integrity. What we're sorely missing now right?
Dumb Justin could surely learn from Big Chin Brian.
Justin gets caught in his corruption while Big Chin Brian got away with literally accepting briefcases full of cash.

I have no illusions about ole big chin but I won't blame the player (like Trump), I blame the game.
Politics is a dirty, filthy, loathsome game. But, that's the game we have and you got to play in it. Justin can virtue signal all he wants but it will leave us isolated and we can't generate our own wealth. We need relationships with others to maintain our standard of living that we have become accustomed to. |

i have no idea what you mean.
don't blame the player but blame the game? well, isn't JT just playing the game just like those before him? his government acts the same way that the conservatives and liberals acted before him.
as for virtue signalling, that's quite BS. which virtue signalling is inappropriate? fat assed politicians whose chins are greasy from the trough crying corruption of their opponents? talking about human rights around the world while in opposition but sealing economic deals with human rights abusers once they are in power?
they are all phoney virtue signallers. it's called campaigning and making your supporters feel indignant and morally superior. yay team! go team! (you can see it in this thread)
i just can't stand the absolute fcuking lack of any principles.
conservatives (not as$hole, bible fcuking, genetically backward social conservatives but economic conservatives) stood for economic conservatism. i defy you to find me a party that is based on that. economic liberalism: free trade is dead and the political conservatives pretend like they were never for it.
fcuk them and their backward economic bullpoop. they can take their anti-free trade, protectionist tariffs and recession making policies and fcuk right off.
(well i certainly feel better after that rant and btw, that's the abridged version)
lastly, in North America (at least), the conservatives (read economic conservatives) have been replaced by populists.
and there is nothing dumber in politics than populism. fcuk the moronic herd! |

Excellent.
You will not find a more anti-government guy than me. I agree that all politicians are corrupt and inhuman. But, you can't hang a shingle on Canada's door saying 'closed for business' because you don't like how the game is played. Got to work within it while trying to keep your moral grounding. Hard to do but not impossible.
As for JT, he's not playing the game. Hence his low domestic approval rating and his increasing isolation in world political circles. People sense the phoniness. He's not who he was advertised to be. Canadian's displeasure will be felt in the next election cycle. Saying that, I think he will lead a minority government. Unfortunately, even less will get done after that.
I don't care if a leader is liberal or conservative or other (except NDP, completely irrelevant party) just get the government working again. Build consensus within your entire parliament and build strong international trade relationships with democratic nations only. Best we can do. |

i think we're more politically alike than not.
as for JT, i just don't see where you're coming from.
increased isolation?
1) his dealing with China: the huawei decision was based on US intentions/pressure as well as international treaty (extradition). had he not done it, he's further pi$$ing off his biggest trade partner.
since he did do it, he pi$$es off china. they have no problems kicking us in the balls b/c they know we can do very little about it.
2) his dealings with Saudi Arabia. he has been 2 faced just like all the other countries in the west. (frank) saudi and their backward 5 centuries ago attitudes and behaviour.
call them out for being immoral, barbaric kunts that they are. fcuking barberous KUNTS.
so they show themselves to be the b!tches they are by pulling their money out. fcuk them.
anyway, 1) and 2) are only problems because the states has abandoned their allies. in the past, the american president would have backed up canada in BOTH OF THESE INSTANCES.
since Tubby Trump likes to fellate despots, the world order has turned. western democracies can't rely on the US for international support in diplomacy.
btw, if you want to claim that JT and Canada should STFU about other countries and focus on economics, i would like to ask which PM EVER has done that?
so at the end of the day, JT is acting like all the PMs before him. canada's virtue signalling is a prerequisite for the job. |

Well said. I agree with you and share your frustration and anger. It's hard not to be apathetic but I also don't want to live under a social conservative autocracy with a populist agenda, so like most, I go out and vote for the lesser of all evils. Feeling dirty and defeated every time. |
