New York is the only true “blue” state. The majority, outside of say 20 large cities, is made up of working class people who are just sick and tired of the Liberal agenda being shoved down their throats, they’ve quite simply had enough. You’re going to see the same thing happen in Canada next year, or hopefully sooner.

That's not a revelation Lefty. It's been that way forever. Canada would have had Andrew Scheer or Erin O'Toole as PM if not for the major Canadian cities voting Liberal.

Hell, basically Southern Ontario chooses who runs the country.

Of course, but this time is different. A republican president elect has not won the popular vote in 20 years, Trump won the popular vote by 5 million votes. This is a big deal, he is not backing into the office.

People are more concerned about what affects their daily lives than Trumps obvious flaws. The democrats stop caring, or lost touch with, the average every day Americans. Empowering the few at the expense of the many, having the few controlling the interests of the many, is what the election was about.

Making life better for illegal entrants than legal residents, is a problem for the average tax paying American. As an example. They wanted to be heard in their democratic processes, and they've come across loud and clear.

Canada is next!!

Already happening. The fact that BC Cons did as well as they did last provincial election is astonishing (considering John Rustad is a total duffus). Hell must have froze over.

This is exactly why it wasn't about Trump, it's bigger than that, people are fed up.

Wayne Gretzky and his wife joined their children, Paulina and Trevor along with Paulina's husband, Dustin Johnson, at a private Donald Trump event on election night (at Mar-a-Lago).

Hollywood.

I'm questioning Trevor Gretzky's clothing choice. Make an effort dude. Can he not afford to dress in something nicer than sweatpants and a MAGA hat? JFC. How old is he...12?

Not many hits in the Canucks thread, or for any other teams.

Things seem bleak.

Every time I see him dancing now I’m seeing him jerking off two giraffes from that one video.

That was priceless, you should isolate that segment and play it continuously as your avatar.

How far do we think the Canadian dollar is gonna go? Below 60 cents to the USD?

Meh. Oil is our biggest export so price tends to have a major impact on the value of our dollar. Oil is rebounding so canada should see its dollar increasing in value soon. But if Trump is slapping a tariff on canadian goods, then a low valued dollar works to our advantage.

But if you are changing canadian dollars into american dollars... sucks to be that guy.

I think you're too focused on the person, Trump, I don't think it mattered who it was, the common person wanted to be heard, and they were...loud and clear.

As I said to you before, this time around he has better people around him and his presidency will be less chaotic, hopefully. We shall see. I told you he was going to win.

Still think that way?
