Sweet! My tree is too young, I have 1 sweet cherry and a couple dozen sour cherries left on it.

Maybe next year. The peach tree however has a dozen peaches remaining on it after I thinned it heavily. Hoping it works out!

Anyways, the procedure to get tested was interesting. Security comes out to your cars and hands out masks. Then you drive into the arena and go right for blood work or left for swab testing. She was tested for strep, tonsillitis and covid right at the car.

Now we wait for results. Although the doctor said only she has to self-isolate, I told the family we are all going to. Work doesn't want me anyways, no need to take unnecessary risk. My wife thinks i'm being an idiot because the doctor said we didn't have to, I responded that yes taking extra precautions during a pandemic is the idiotic thing to do.

Yeah it's a tough year for growers. I figured early on that food supply and pricing was a potential problem. We're growing as much of our own that we can.

Again, being responsible and cautious should be everyone's civic duty but we don't live in a world like that. We feel very fortunate to live in a village of just under 5,000. Most restaurants are still take out only and the brewing company is at about 1/3 capacity. The bike trails on the other hand are very busy as is the local bike shop.
Island life is good enough though I hate everything.

I find it mind numbing that that my 11 year old understands why i've mandated a stay at home order but my wife doesn't get it. I mean aside from the chance it's covid, do you want to be out there spreading something else? My math model is way less than ideal in the last 48 hours.

I would blame quarantine fatigue on your wife's attitude. Most of us a freaking done with this but deep down, know it's probably another 12 months of this.
Maybe some Allman Brothers and a couple bourbon & lemonades.

as a fan, i still occasionally think about lafayette hitting the post, pavel missing the penalty shot, hamhuis going down from that hip check and those games in boston...

...so i'm gonna guess that former players and management might reminisce once or twice about what could have been!

Hey bloated, just finished an absolutely phenomenal meal my wife threw together in the instant pot. Chorizo sausage and kale soup, the kale fresh from the garden, tomatoes fresh from the garden, all herbs grown here.

Soup is the (frank)ing best....

Glass of wine and the Last Waltz playing, life on the island is great.
