We went through this 7 years ago and my heart goes out to you & Mrs. Makita. It was one of the worst things I've gone through and I've gone through some sh*t. I'm going to avoid the cliches and sentiments. Grieve and let grieve, there is no time line.

Time will heal and maybe some Captain Morgan's. Take care my friend from both of us.

Oh man, I feel for you. I lost my buddy a little over 10 years ago. It was and still is devastating.

Thanks, ive had a dog my entire life, this is by far the most excruciating ordeal. Took her to the vet hospital on Friday, no visitors because of covid, and they told us to expect to make a decision today or tomorrow, btw your $3000 has run out and we need another couple to continue and monitor. So we brought her home not to die alone.

We love dogs, and both of us have had a dog for our entire lives. We rescued two golden doodles, siblings the SPCA seized. Jake died at 9.5 from Grand Mal seizures, Tessa struggled without her brother for a year, but has been the best dog I've ever owned, so smart and gentle with the kids.

Ill wait some time, but I'll be getting another doodle next year.

Thanks RC, she is definitely getting love, but it is tearing us apart watching such a vibrant animal become so lethargic and barely responsive, but still wanting to be pet.

I braced my family that if something drastic happened we weren't going to pour thousands and thousands into a temporary fix for the dog. I can't prolong his suffering for maybe months of our enjoyment. Such a tough and sad decision to make.

It was 5 years before I could think about it. Two years on a waiting list and we have the most amazing little guy.

Jesus Makita, that’s so heart breaking. It’s better that she gets to be with her family at this time even though it’s so tough on you. There are a lot of pets out there who don’t get to experience a loving home. Take comfort in knowing you’ve given her the best possible life she could have.

Yeah, I heard industrial nitrates being stored incorrectly. Hell of an explosion.

There was a Chinese chemical plant that exploded last year with similar effect.
