Leafs had better JFresh cards in the first 2 periods but then Torts motivated his team to elevate their JFresh card prowess in the 3rd period. Robertson should've scored 5 goals he was so dominant.

The team with the best possession stats, shooting percentage and shots suppression will always win 90% of the time. Last night was one of the 10% examples. Leafs dominated that game.

If this is the best Columbus has then the Leafs have nothing to worry about.

JFresh card dominance is what all teams strive to achieve. Leafs won the JFresh card battle. But Columbus had the luck and randomness factors on their side. Mitch Marner has a 88.8 WAR in this series so far. Dubois has a 11.2 WAR.

Dubas is actually the greatest GM in NHL history and his JFresh card proves it. He's built the greatest team in the salary cap era. But luck will always beat talent and ability. That's how hockey is played. If you get the lucky bounces then you win the game. The lucky team wins 96.6% of playoff games. The better team wins 3.4% of playoff games.

Torts really is an awful Head coach. His JFresh card rates him as a below replacement level head coach. Whereas Keefe is rated #1 of all time. Torts pulling Korpisalo was a below average move. Any head coach could've done this and so it had minimal impact on the game. Bottom line is the Leafs lost only because they didn't get the luck or bounces. But they were the far superior team. Leafs WAR was 87.5 and Columbus was 4.4.

Keefe is a tactical genius giving the Leafs a big coaching advantage. Torts just preaches defensive play which any clown can do. Some people make a big deal out of chemistry, discipline, playing as a team rather than collection of individuals...but these things aren't measured by Jfresh so they don't really matter.
