Didn't the Ducks have a similar playoff comeback (like the Leafs) on the Oilers a few years ago? - gergeswillems
Yes, and the Kings had one against the Wings in 2001. /sorry, bud
And all of these were in the playoffs. I'll call "evens" and say it was the best comeback of the qualifier era. That's fair, right? |

Believe me I really like mark stone and think he’s up there with the best but while not saying mackinnon is as good as mcdavid he’s in that same tier of players that can win a game on their own. As well Colorado’s goalies have shown better so far and their team in general has looked like the best in the round robin so I’m going to pick the hottest team as the one I don’t want to see. Especially after st.louis parlaying a hot streak into a Stanley Cup last year - RedC21
I agree. Mack is the real deal. I pick him over Stone in a fantasy draft. Vegas is deep though. |

Wasn't the best comeback by the Bruins against the Leafs? - Tedge77
That's a memorable one. |

Leafs make best comeback in NHL history last night. Says Jimmy...
https://editorinleaf.com/...eafs-reverse-probability/ - gergeswillems
This claim simply illustrates that Tanner doesn't know the sport.
In 1982 the heavily favoured Oilers were up 5-0 on the Kings heading into the 3rd period. The Kings scored 5 goals in the 3rd, with the tying goal with just 5 seconds left. They went on to win 6-5 in overtime. Most knowledgeable hockey fans consider this the greatest comeback in playoff history.
But there were no Jfresh cards back then. And Tanner started watching hockey about 7 years ago. |

the amount you obsess over Tanner each and every day, even pulling articles from his EIL site, really shows 1 of 2 things.
1. you're a massive loser with no friends or life
2. Number 1
I've never understand the logic of guys making fun of a blogger they hate. |

The Leafs are possibly the worst constructed team I’ve seen in 20 years. I say this because they have so much talent, but their GM is just a train wreck. Any GM with half a hockey brain would have that team in at least the Conference Finals by now. They haven’t won a damn series in 16 years man!!! Lol and they were like 3 minutes away from losing a “play in” series, which by the way still isn’t over. It’s mind boggling.
I think we’ll soon see the end of this analytical young GM dog poop very soon. They are running at an incredible 0% success rate right now. Hell, the best move Chayka made was to fire himself lol
IMO, if the Leafs kept Hunter they would be a real threat to win the cup this year. Possibly the favourite. Now it’s either lose to Columbus or get spanked by Boston/Washington. - QuickSCF
Dubas was soft in all his RFA negotiations. Overpaid Nylander by about 500-750k. Marner by about 2 mil. Matthews by maybe 500k. Holl by 500-750k. Engvall by 250k. Kerfoot by 500k. Death by 1000 cuts. |

Can Tanner ever write any analysis that doesn't involve a goaltender being the only reason why a team won or lost? - MJL
Jimmy's really churning out the bull$hit today. Apparently this series isn't even close. The Leafs have been "goalied."
