I was thinking of your predictions today, when the Leafs got shut out and eliminated. Think of it this way. The leafs and the Yotes were not going to make the playoffs this year anyway. Except for the Virus, So it was like a free shot at the playoffs for both teams. The Yotes just have a more balanced team. The leafs need Defense. But I have a feeling you will be lobbying for More offense. Like signing Taylor Hall for 10 million.

The good news is Tanner won't be busy watching the Leafs all the time. Maybe he can actually report on the Coyotes? Haha. How many points did the $40M quartet get tonight? Umm, zero, again. Haha.

The loaded up top line is a perfect example. All 3 were out there playing as individuals. Like it was an all star game. No cohesion, no chemistry and no team work.

The 2nd Columbus goal was one of most pathetic displays of defensive hockey I ever seen. No aggressiveness as a player skates laterally along the blue line. An easy dump in. An easy collection of the puck, and an easy skate right to the net.

Could the great Morgan Reilly's effort on the EN goal have been any weaker? Was he actually breathing?

However the NHL needs to get together and reverse the outcome of this series. Did you see the expected goals stat? How about corsi? Scoring chances? That's what really matters. The Leafs again, were unlucky. Most unlucky team in the history of the NHL.
