I'm just trying to better understand a new perspective. I think Tocchet has adopted a pretty logical gameplan for the minimal talent that he has to work with. This roster is not a serious contender, but Tocchet is doing the best he can. The author obviously disagrees and rips on Tocchet all the time. So just curious what specific things could he do differently? Seems like a fair question.

Also, Kadri may be scoring goals, but Kerfoot is the best defensive forward and most underrated player on the Leafs roster. So it's not apples to apples. |

This is awesome!
Chalka brought in some decent players when he had cap space and used it against teams in cap trouble. Some pointed this out to Tanner as to why He was making decent trades. According to Tanner he is a genius on the level of Dubas. Now the Yotes have no more cap to bargain with. And Chalka leaves the team bent over a barrel. Bad trades, Risky trades, Poor judgment of where his team really stood in the overall scheme of the NHL has led the Yotes into no mans land. And now Chalka wasn't really, truly an analytics guy!

Leafs are out! Yotes are out! = analytic crowd taking it hard this year.
