At least we can have a discussion. I can't even touch the crap homie is posting.
The problem is, especially in a work-place, you can't do anything without it being confrontational - it's by design. And believe me, it wouldn't have made a difference and it would have caused a lot more problems than it solved. It's also not my job to approach the issues that management should have been addressing. I usually don't have time to abandon work to talk to a morally corrupt and ignorant co-worker who has already decided he's immune to the virus and doesn't have to wear his mask.
Most people are generally wearing masks and observing the 6-foot rule. Most could be 51% and still be most.
But believe me - Going from New York, which tried to do the right thing from the start and had it's governor villainized and demonized for it but ultimately took the most drastic measures the soonest, and generally had the majority of the population following the guidelines (except Sabretooth)... To Ohio, which only a few weeks ago made masks mandatory in public places, was almost a culture-shock.
Businesses mandated masks before the state did. However, none of it was being enforced until a couple weeks ago. I would say in New York, 1 in every 100 people weren't wearing their mask when I was out in public this summer. In Ohio, 1 out of every 5 or 10 weren't, it was that bad until a couple of weeks ago.
Then you had the Sturgis Motorcycle rally and both the Dakotas are in terrible shape right now, and it's hard to not see a correlation there. No one obeyed the state travel restrictions, and they weren't enforced anyway.
The fact of the matter is, while "most" took this seriously and have been taking every imaginable precaution, an almost equally large number of the population has done the opposite. Remember, "most" people voted for Hilary in 2016, but Trump won the Electoral college votes. "Most" people voted for Biden this past election but Trump STILL got more votes than he did in 2020.
"Most" could mean that 175 million of the 328 million Americans followed guidelines and took precaution. But that still would mean that 153 million Americans didn't. "Most" wasn't even close to good enough in this case. It needed to be "ALL" or damn near close to "ALL". It wasn't good enough and too many people have suffered because of it. - 3rd GM's the charm
So, I see roughly-right 80 - 90% wearing masks and adhering to the 6' rule. That was the range I meant when using the word "most". Expecting a 100% compliance is insane IMO. I wear mine out of respect for others, as I believe any protection to me from my wearing them is minimal...that said, this weekend I had a brain fart and walked into a store without one (my mind was elsewhere, and it was for a very quick trip in and out)...nobody accosted me thankfully. I think a fair amount of people feel the same way.
I'll get the vaccine, but I suspect we will find long-term health affects from them in 10 - 15 years. Nothing to substantiate that, just a hunch...again, it won't stop me from getting one.
What's interesting to me is that the motorcycle events are cited in the media, but the protests weren't generally cited and those were likely far worse cumulatively si ce they were all over the US in bigger cities.
Some believe that wearing a mask and socially distancing are so successful, it would have eliminated the virus. It slowed the roll of those seriously impacted, but it still spread far and wide.
It slowed during warm months when outside activities prevail, and it picked up when the cold season set in and people primarily move indoors. It is inevitable. Again, I say all this because some on here think the virus goes away if everyone were to isolate for 2 weeks...it won't. It was meant to slow the roll...however, it still spread much further, so when the environment is ripe for the 2nd wave, it did so in a more widespread manner.

America equally lied about and skewered numbers. Maybe even not on purpose, but they've been far higher than anyone wants to admit to in this country. - 3rd GM's the charm

I thought i heard the problem in Tampa is that none of their guys will waive
Not that i blame them- i wouldn’t wanna go from the Lightning to the Wings either - jdfitz77
Johnson has given them 9 teams to trade with...teams were not disclosed, but speculation is that it includes Red Wings with Stevie Y there.
Johnson alone doesn't get if done to sign Cirelli, Cernak and Rutta...hence why thd rumor also includes Z's $6m LTIR contract traded to the Bolts. |

Real estate is an inflation hedge.
If they were really hurting for liquidity then sell the property.
Probably gone up 30% if not more the last year anyways. |

Any idea how long that goes for?
I’m pretty sure there’s an “out” clause in it though for him to return to the nhl anyways |

Or provide “small business loans” to landlords to cover them for now

Has Boss been lurking around?
I’ve got an idea that he will absolutely LOVE
Sign Miller, Pommer & Vanek to our “taxi squad”
I think it should be filled with Vets like that anyways, and not kids that we want playing every night instead of sitting in the Press Box |

Oh boy...
First off, the vaccine will not be made available to the general public, meaning YOU and I, until probably June 2021.
But when other people REFUSE to follow guidelines, avoid social gatherings and wear their masks in crowded spaces, I have to worry about what risks others are taking, what the (frank) is so hard to understand about this?
Unreal. - 3rd GM's the charm
You are acting crazy ...... pump the breaks.
My friends and I are being very safe when gathering together. Yet you think I’m being dumb.
You can’t act like the world is ending. You can smartly do thinks.
When 4 out of 8 friends work remotely at their houses, 1 unemployed, and 3 more are in the medical field.
So 5 out of 8 people are stuck at home ..... and 3 others work in medical offices. Which if you know anyone in the medical field. They are layered in a town of stuff.
If anyone was remotely sick. They stayed away for 2 weeks
I mean how much safer can people be? |

You literally went to a gym before you had them over. End of conversation. No one is acting crazy here, except maybe all of the people saying "take care of your own business" and still shrugging this thing off. |

People are so used to being told what to do from
authority that they then feel its ok to tell other people what to do. Its noones business.
Have to take this serious but cant just stop living and hide for a year or two. Quarantining healthy people still blows my mind.
NYS has had some of the strictest rules, yet Erie county is going thru the worst of it now? Months ago they tell us do all these things but hey dont worry the worst of it will come in the fall. So it was inevitable.....?
Tj Max and Kohls are open but bars and restaurants are being decimated. 8 person gatherings are being persecuted, being told gathering with family for Christmas is just “ not smart “ , but 100’s of thousand person riots/peaceful protest are being accepted encouraged.
This is when your brain should be telling you maybe I should be thinking for myself......microdosing or not.....

The gym been proven to be a safe place to go. You didn’t see the cumo lie?
I wear a mask at the gym ..... I am forced to clean my machine or every piece of equipment After I am done with it and I’m 6ft away from everyone.
I wash my phone when I get home too. Since I text and go on it.
And employees walk around telling people to wear them or the cleaners are 24/7 cleaning machines.
So think again troll. |

When was the last protest? Early fall? - Michael Pachla
Does it matter? Its ok to protest early in a pandemic but not at the end?
Im sure I can find mass gathering protest in last month but dont think it would bring much to this topic....
Also Pach love your blogs and respect your input on other topics on here too. Reasonable debate is healthy.......And if you would like to know my affiliation yes......I think Reinhart sucks 😂
