No, he said that IS how you win, and you WONT win, unless you have a running game and great defense - sbroads24
Well I missed that, guess I didn't read everything. |

How did he not say this, he has basically said you can win with average QB play, running the ball and Good defense. Sometimes it all doesn't work out that way, and elite QB can nullify that but you don't need it. - Buff36
No. He argued for 2 years that having an elite run game won Super Bowl's. Then after finally getting piled on this season for it, he edited his "winning formula" repeatedly to make his narrative fit to any time a team wins doing anything so that he could continue to say he was right all along.
He said for 9 months that the Chiefs won last year's Super Bowl on their strong run game before I finally posted the actual stats, then he ignored me for 3 months only to turn around and say that average QB play and strong defense wins Super Bowls and that's how the Chiefs won last year, only to then turn around and say their RB won them the game with 1:20 seconds left when they were up 24-20 because he finally busted a 38-yard run after Mahomes had rallied them with one of the best 4th quarters by a QB in Super Bowl history.
He constantly changes his narrative to fit his argument, which also constantly changes. |

The Browns run game was stopped in the first half, they averaged 2 yards a carry. So no, they shouldn't have kept running it. You're wrong
Second point- Ryan Tannehill is probably 7-8 in terms of QB's, Marcus Mariota was probably 30-35th. They made the switch and now win games.
Had Derrick Henry and a good D through those 7-9 8-8 years though
RUn and play D - sbroads24
Exactly. Ryan Tannehill is competent.
Competent QB, Strong run game, Strong defence.
I never once said you can’t win with bottom 10 QB play.

Uh, he’s better than competent.
He’s been a top 10 QB since taking over.
He’s been great. He’s why they win games now |

No, we really need for you guys to stop the insanity.
The points of the argument have moved all over the field I don't think anyone really knows what the original point was.
If you guys had a clue, clearly you would be arguing the mascot is the key piece to any organization.
- IonSabres
Negatory. It's hard to run in those suits. Clearly you don't seem to understand. What does a team do before the game starts? That's right genius, they run onto the field. So clearly I win, and I was right all along, that it doesn't matter if you're right or left handed, as long as you run with scissors, nothing can go wrong. |

Having Ryan Tannehill has meant the Titans have won more games then Marcus Mariota.

The guy completed 20 passes total in 2
Playoff wins last year.
Then lost to Mahomes.
There is only one Mahomes.
The Bills have a defence that can slow him down though. |

Looks like Toews could be out for awhile. Where is Tonya Harding and the pipe when you need her, maybe catch Okposo coming out of the locker room, a little shot to the the shin. |

No I said you can win with average QB in this league if you have a strong running game and an elite defence. Kind of like how the Bills won 10 games last year.
All because the topic of Allen ever becoming elite was what was a constant topic of discussion for the entire offseason.
I compared your QB to Tim Tebow and still thought they would win the division and win 10 games.
Well looks like the Bills will win 13 and Allen is elite.
Bills will win the SB too if their defence continues to play the way they are playing in the secondary. Unless a team can gash them on the ground as that appears to be where they are vulnerable.
I also expect that if the Bills beat the chiefs Allen’s legs will have a huge part of it along with Moss and Singletary.
The Packers don’t lose in the playoffs every year because of Aaron Rodgers. However in the last 2 seasons two average QB’s played in a Super Bowl in the NFC.

Lost to Mahomes, you mean the guy who didn't win Super Bowl LIV last year? Or the guy who "was average until the 4th quarter"? Or the guy who "won because the Chiefs ran it all over the 49ers"? Or the guy who "didn't win the Super Bowl the year he won MVP" but won Super Bowl MVP but only because his RB had a 38-yard touch down run with 1 minute left in a game when he had already led the team to a 24-20 lead? Or the guy who won the Super Bowl last year and won Super Bowl MVP and had one of the best 4th quarters by a QB in Super Bowl history and rallied his fish-out-of-water team to a lead and a win? |

Contract aside, I like Okposo's play and how he has rededicated his style of play to adapt to the decline in skills. But man, you are right that $6m can surely be used elsewhere.
I think a 4th line of Lazar, Asplund and Girgensons could be quite effective. That would allow the team to nudge Okposo into retirement next season by placing him on the Taxi Squad this season.
The $1m savings "sending Kyle" down would be offset by Asplund's contract, so no benefit there, rather just a strong signal to Kyle that the gravy-train is essentially over and time to retire. |

Mahomes will retire the best QB to ever do it.
Marino was probably the best QB of his generation and didn’t win a thing.
It’s much more then having an Elite QB. |

So for the first 3 quarters and 8 min of the 4th Mahomes was not average in that Superbowl. So if KC's defense doesn't make a few key stops in the 4th, KC wins that Superbowl with the way Mahomes played the first 3 quarters. I most of watched a different game. |

If you could LTIR Okposo and use some of that money, you're looking at a 3m overage rolling into next year. There's no good move at this point. You just play him and re-evaluate after the season. |

Girgs has averaged 17 points over the last 5 seasons. Last year was 19. His pts/60 was actually down last year. Bunch of guys on min deals who have done better. Sheahan is one. He did stay healthy last season, which was a first. He's about to turn 27, are you honestly expecting his next 3 years to be better?
VO was a bad EV strength player last year. At 25, likely in a less ideal role, I have no clue which direction he's headed this year. - Lunaion
Definitely expecting similar if not better point production out of girgs.
No more Larsson. Better team, better players, better opportunities.
He's been strangled by Larsson's terrible offensive output for his whole career.
When skinner doesnt score, its - we traded our 2c away.
He cant score without eichel or a solid nhl center.
Same for gigs.
As for olloffson, he's top 6. Sure he got help from eichel, but he probably has the best shot on the team (aside from eichel)
Good somewhat young nhl controlled contract.
7th round gem
Played better 5 x 5 when given a chance.
Not sure what's not to like? |

Funny story Gm3
Friend of mine worked as "chip" for the bisons during their championship season a few years back.
Every single employee including buster bison got rings.
No ring for chip
Not sure if it's really funny, but...😐 |

Similar is right. It's what he does. For the Sabres to improve, he needs less ice time.
I just don't see high end talent in VO. If you have a great shot, but can't get it off 5v5, is it actually great? Would love to see him improve, of course.

You're very good at relaying a point effectively.
I still see girgs as a player who, for ",player's coaches"
Plays the game with intensity. Ted years and last year.
He earned his contract raise by completely outplaying his previous 1 year deal. All players in contract years (skimmer) and ufas put their A game together.
Hopefully he doesnt regress.
I see Ralph using him with more talent this season.
I think he pairs the top guy's.
Hall and eich
Skins and stahl
Olo and sam
Lazar and okposo.
Kinda depends on where locomotive lands in the lineup?
It's not going to be next to larrson, the guy that signed a 1.5 million $ deal to play for team #31.
As for olloffson. This will be reviewed during a scoring slump or breakout season 🙂
He could pair well with either top pair, as he can switch wings apparently.
We will see soon |
